Revisado: 01-14-21
He took on phony Democrats in "Strip Tease". Hiaasen crosses the aisle for this one. At one point, I laughed so hard I almost fell off the treadmill. This has Smart woman, snooty women, gullible men, snakes and Skink.

Historia
Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

Stone to Carr and Back
Revisado: 08-07-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes
It is one of the two best Camel Club books (Devine Justice). Baldacci seems to get more comfortable with the depth of his characters.
What did you like best about this story?
Stone's quandaries. Is it loyalty, protection or dependence that drives his personal relationships'?
Have you listened to any of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I liked it. Originally, I was somewhat wary of multiple narrators, not anymore.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have liked to but no chance.
Any additional comments?
If you like the Camel Club, you'll love this one.

Narration better than expected
Revisado: 06-22-17
Would you listen to The Collectors again? Why?
Well, now that I know how it ends, why would I?
It's a good book by a good author.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
yes it did
Which scene was your favorite?
Caleb before and during his surprise interview with the police.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes
When Annabelle, against her own best interest decided to stay and work on the case
Any additional comments?
I was wary about purchasing this book because of the reviews that panned the multiple narrators. I had never listened to a multiple narration before and thought I would probably find it distracting. Actually, my experience was the opposite.

Historia
Ryan Kealey has no doubt that the forces seeking to tip this teetering world into chaos are just getting better. Better equipped, better organized, and, most terrifying of all, more patient. And despite all the ELINT, the all-seeing electronic intelligence gathered at Langley, nothing stops a devastating attack from ripping through the heart of San Antonio, Texas.

Narration ould be much better
Revisado: 04-17-17
Would you try another book from Andrew Britton and/or David Ledoux?
I've listened to all the Ryan Kealey series. Story wise this might not be the best but it's still pretty good. The narration left much to be desired.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Middle east settings have become so much the standard in this genre that there is little left to be educated on.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Wow! A lot.
Lack of inflection. Little distinction among characters and a somewhat sing/song cadence
Bring back Christopher Lane..
Did Threatcon Delta inspire you to do anything?
No
Any additional comments?
I think it would be a better read than listen.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Certainly kept me interested enough to want to keep coming back until finished
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
change in inflection as related to different characters. Seemed to get better as he went along.

The Border Crossing
Revisado: 07-16-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Ballistic to be better than the print version?
Possibly better because of Jay Snyder's narration.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Like all of the previous Gray Man novels, Peterson moves us from one harrowing action sequence to another. More than edge of the seat, standing and rooting for Gentry to find his way out of each impossible predicament.
What does Jay Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
accent and inflection give distinct differences to the characters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Eddie's sister tells him she is entering the convent.
Any additional comments?
As usual Peterson keeps us in the action from beginning to end.
