very disappointing
Revisado: 03-01-23
humorous, realistic feminist with high hopes for this book based on the reviews and description. however, the amount of name dropping and vapid advice was super disappointing. listened to the whole thing because I bought it too long ago for a refund, but not worth it

amazing
Revisado: 02-19-22
as a 36 year old mom I'm clearly not the target audience as the title would reflect, but I heard him talking about the book in an interview and thought it sounded interesting. it is fucking amazing. so many great points, thoughtful observations, etc. I found myself reflecting on my own life as a young athlete and now wife, mother and small business owner. each chapter was something that made me think about how I could do all these things better. and while waiting for my daughter's friend's birthday to finish, I stayed in the car to finish the last chapter while ugly crying. then had to pick up my kid with red eyes and snot having been wiped on my shirt. great book

I stayed in my car after I got home to complete it. so thoughtful and inspiring. as a lifelong athlete recovering from a long injury I can't wait till I can get back, set a goal and remember why being physical and challenging yourself can teach you so much about life and yourself. phenomenal

confused
Revisado: 05-20-21
I confess that this is not a favored genre of mine as I read non fiction 95% of the time and audible referred this to me for some reason. I made it through the book in one day and even by the end I had no idea what it was about, what was happening, if it was a singular story, if any of the separate tales had anything to do with each other.
