I love a good comeuppance story! This story was so refreshing. The underdog has her day. The Bullies don't win. Men aren't portrayed as only wanting the stereotype super model. Body Positivity for Daaaaays! Communication! Actual communication so there isn't a lot of misunderstandings. Low Angst. Sometimes you need a book like that.

Chris is a handsome, rich, famous Professional Quarterback. Trixie is a smart, funny, strong librarian with a kick ass ride or die bestie (Lulu). Trixie doesn't necessarily fit society's beauty standards but Chris has been in love with her since they were 12 years old and thinks she's the most gorgeous thing on 2 feet. Of course there are bullies from Trixie's past that don't think she deserves the popular guy because of how she looks and also those that want to use her because her mom used to be a pron star. Thankfully her man is determined to stand by her and help her face all the demons from her past. She also has a found family in Chris's teammates (and family) and their wives/girlfriends backing her up as well.

I loved that he wanted to protect her but also stood back and let her handle things, giving her the support she needed to take a stand against them. She was no pushover by any means and I feel that was partly because the community she built to support her.

The narration was fire. Christian Fox and Stella Hunter could read an accounting textbook and make it sound exciting. I can't wait to listen to Declan's Story!

Great Story!

I have to say this story was so much better than I thought it would be. It started out rough and sexy and I was worried there wouldn't be much of a storyline. Glad I was wrong! Lots of drama and sexy times and the story kept me on the edge of my seat. The narration was good, I just wish there had been a female narrator as well as I think the Male narrator struggled a little with the female chapters. But the plot does not disappoint. Recommended!

The Power of Three

I liked how Spencer, Rory and Jack's story wrapped up even thought the journey was hard. They had a lot to work through getting comfortable with one another, facing the judgment and adversity they were shown from some family members, Dealing with emotional stress and the handling when one of them withdraws because of that stress. The only issue I had was at times I felt the affection shown to Spencer was different than that shown to Rory and I am unsure if, as their Dom, Jack was giving each what they needed or craved or if there was some favor for one over the other. It just seemed the Spencer was demeaned at times. Which was a contrast from how he was treated in book one. Just my opinion.

Overall I enjoyed the story and the narrators and it has made me interested in diving into some of the stories of the side characters. Narration was good and I liked that there were separate narrators for each of the main characters. I would definitely read another book by this author.

Dakar and Ella

Dakar and Ella are my favorite so far. I love a good "forbidden" romance. Ella is and independent who rejects the opportunity to be a tribute bride, which makes her off limits. Dakar is a former ladies man who falls for Ella the minute he lays eyes on her, (Of course he doesn't know it yet.) They end up working together to bring down the Kronak and of course hanky panky ensues. but they are both too stubborn to admit their real feelings. this has been my favorite story so far. Unfortunately it is also the last on audio so I will be downloading the rest of the series to my kindle because I can't wait for the next story! I also love revisiting characters from previous books. I enjoyed the performance as well. Hoping the rest of the series will be out on audio soon!

Torvin And Trista

I swear each story gets better and better. Torvin is on his way home to claim his Tribute bride when he is falsely accused of treason. He kidnaps Trista to get away and give his loyal friends a chance to prove his innocence. I am really loving this series after a slow start for me..the story line is unique and the characters are likable. Sometime serious and sometimes funny. The sexy time are oh so steamy. I love that there is always and HEA and that the epilogue introduces the next story. So, not really a cliffhanger. More like a preview. Again, the narrator is very good at telling the story but when she does the individual voices, it's hit or miss. Torvin was OK. Trista was a little breathy and weak at time. Can't wait for the next one!

Better than book 1

I liked this book better than Book 1. The Female MC was much more likable and kind of bad ass. The Male MC was also likable and his story makes you feel for him. I like that they give you more background into the Drexian struggle with the Kronak. The narrator is good at telling the story but the voices.... They were hit and miss. Her voice for the heroine was a little breathy. Overall I am enjoying the series.

The Story was good but......

I love a good Alien romance but the Female MC was super annoying for about 2/3 of this book. She does become somewhat likable in the end and in the subsequent books. The story was good and I liked that they teased the next story at the end of each book. The narrator was great as she was telling the story but when she did individual voices it was a little iffy. Overall, the book was good and definitely good to read for context into the next books.

Cute Fairy Tale Re-Telling

I love a good fairy tale re-telling and while I will admit this is one I was not too familiar with it was a good one. The story had everything a good romance needs. Second chance at love, a nasty villein, Steamy sexy times and a Happily ever after.

The Narration was good. Jason Clarke can do no wrong in my eyes and I love Ava Lucas. Her male voice got a little gravely at times but over all it was good.

Sometime I like a short sweet-hot romance. It usually means the story gets right to the point without an unbearable amount of angst. This one delivered that for sure!

Last Book In the Series.... So Far? (Pleeeeease?!)

This was the last book in the Arathian/Sirilians series and by far my FAVORITE! (although I loved them all.) This one centers around Conall, Ashlyns brother from Unearthed. Conall has lost a lot in his life and made sacrifices for his family that haven't necessarily made him happy. Starting life on a new planet hasn't been easy for him but he finds a little happiness when he meet Onalee, a shy girl who is also looking for a purpose while living under her brother's thumb. Throw in Brogan, a sexy Lieutenant in the royal guard, and some confusing feeling of attraction from a man who considered himself straight and you're off to an interesting start. The heat factor goes through the roof when it's reveled they all have romantic feelings towards each other. I love a good menage! The story is only made better with added intrigue of a royal assassination plot and some sinister dealings behind the scenes. (trying not to include spoilers.) I'm really hoping the author continues in this world with more stories! I enjoyed them immensely.

Narration - I feel like I have been very fangirly (is that a word? LOL) over Lessa Lamb because of these books but hey... It is what it is! The narration was awesome. The emotion and the accents..... OH the accents! They were the best part of the books for me! She really made the story come alive.

I highly recommend this series and that it be read in order according to Nicole Krizek's website. It will make much more sense that way!

Nicole Krizek Just Keeps Surprising Me!

Even though I loved all the previous books in these interwoven series, I wasn't sure I would like this one from the description alone. Even in the first few chapters I was skeptical. That is... Until Ashlyn Macleod goes home, digs up a sexy, blue alien and you meet her entire family full of characters. I love how they communicated even though he could understand her but she couldn't understand him. I loved how they didn't let their very significant physical differences (yet in retrospect, not so significant) stop them from falling in love. I loved her supportive family with all their different personalities and quirks. I wanted to know more about all of them especially her brother Conall which I got in the next book. Finally, I loved the closure and happy ending this story gave Reus and Karo from the last book. Trust me, it's worth the listen!

If I thought I loved Lessa Lamb's narrations before... OMG the accents! Her Scottish Brogue was AWESOME! It made the story so much more authentic. I can't say enough. Read/Listen to the series, Start from the beginning! You will be sad when you reach the end, like I was, because you just want more!
