Historia
Daniel M. Kimmel updates the myth, and tells us the tale from the point of view of the most important character: the Father of the Bride of Frankenstein. This is not Ms. Shelley's monster, but (dare we say it?) a dazzling urbanite, literate and thoughtful....and Jewish? Science has always outrun the guidelines of ethics. It's not unthinkable that interspecies relationships will be the next big question. And with those relationships will come a father's love for his daughter, and that father's fears for his bankbook when his doting daughter plans the most outrageous of weddings.

surprisingly only a slightly unusual wedding story
Revisado: 11-14-19
I picked this story purely based on title because I like science fiction, but I was somewhat surprised on what I got. The story is more of a slice of life on wedding planning and Jewish culture with a bit of science fiction thrown in to make things a little more interesting than normal. It certainly didn't fall under the usual genres I read, but that little bit of a quirky twist really helped me have a pleasant listen through something I probably would have found boring otherwise. I learned far more about traditional wedding planning than I ever thought I would. Overall it was a well done story with some fun parts, though a little slow at times.

Serena Rouge lives a double life. Writer, according to IRS. Trouble, according to the FBI. Kick-ass, rough, and yet she can't hide her vulnerable side when it comes to her kids. When the enemy threatens her kids if she doesn't do exactly as they want, things go from bad to worse in a hurry. A secret branch hiding behind the military is about to release the zombie virus as a vaccination to the whole world. It's up to Serena to shut down the operation with the help of FBI agent Joseph...preferably without him becoming a zombie.

Intrigue, action and a bit of zombie romance
Revisado: 09-29-19
I found the setting to be an interesting take on a modern non-apocalyptic zombie setting. In some ways it felt closer to a vampire story than a traditional zombie one.
The story was an interesting ride and did surprise me in a good way a few times. I found the torture scene to be a bit drawn out and excessive. The whole bit about zombies having sexual allure wasn't really my thing, but it was done well and important to the story.
The vocal performance does a great job of getting across the main character and especially her snark and mom voice. The range for other characters was a bit lacking, several characters sounded very similar.
