Amazing Story and Narration
Revisado: 03-29-20
In the fifth book in the Shatterproof Bond series, we find Sam and Declan going undercover. Declan will be Dr. Tobias Hunter, an Earth Scientist while Sam will be Kit Franklin, a Librarian. It does not take long before the two find themselves embroiled in plans to uncover the leaders of a shadowy environmental group which leads to some shocking discoveries. As the investigation takes them from London to Vienna, Sam finds himself working with an old friend and learning things about his pat he never wanted to know. Then he finds some shocking information about Sir James who is home learning that it is not a good idea to keep your enemies so close.
Powder Burns is incredibly fast paced with twists and turns that no one could expect. Sam and Declan remain in love and devoted to each other despite a few bumps along the way. You cannot help but fall in love with these two men and route for them to be successful. The plot is complex and takes us back to earlier books. I love this story with Sam and Declan and look forward to many, many more delightful hours of entertainment from the phenomenal imagination of Isobel Starling.
Gary Furlong does an amazing job with Powder Burns. He really nails the two men and the side characters. His narration will have glued to your listening device. He is fast becoming my favorite narrator.

Revisado: 12-26-19
Benedict Hannon receives a late missive giving him an opportunity to travel to Scotland and bid on items from the late Lord Armillan's collection of fine art and antiquities. Benedict knew Ardmillan's son from University and had been to the house before. He is delighted to be able to hopefully obtain an object he has wanted for 30 years. When he arrives, things are not quite as he imagined. Now he finds himself facing his past and present desires as well as an intriguing stranger who brings him to life.
Benedict started out being quite the prissy one. As we learn about his past, we realize the reason for it. We also find the Euan, the son, is beginning to experience some retribution and wants help from Benedict. Nothing really goes as planned and you cannot help but be delighted as to how all works out. Pick this one up as you will be delighted with Benedict as he tries to resolve his issues.
The narration is amazing and Gary Furlong is now one of my favorite narrators. He can really bring the characters to life.

What an excellent story!
Revisado: 12-15-19
What an excellent story! The world building was amazing and the character development was also incredible. Blaze is a young warrior living after the Third Holocaust and his attempts to help his people. There is so much going on with betrayal and danger at every turn. Genetic enhancements are also a part of the story with some good and some not. It was hard to tell as the story progressed who was a enemy and who was an ally. It was very exciting and fast-paced. The endings felt abrupt to me but there is room for more stories.
The narration was great and I had no problems listening.

When he finds evidence his father was someplace else for some of the crimes, he seeks out the detective who initially got his father convicted. Ray Langer is a laid-back sort of alpha, but he’s very good at his job. He knows the evidence was good when it came to the Morrison case - until Morrison’s gorgeous, confident omega son shows up with evidence that chips away at his case.

Fantastic Story
Revisado: 12-15-19
Defense Attorney Doug Morrison is trying hard to get a new trial for his father. He is sure that he is innocent of the gruesome murders. His investigation takes him to the cold case unit and Ray Langer. Ray agrees to work with him but the desire between them is undeniable and an accidental claiming throws things into disarray. How will this work?
I like the variety of these stories. Each one is unique and captivating. You soon find yourself engrossed in the telling. Aidan Bates is an amazing author.
The narration was a bit different. It was a little slow but I adjusted and enjoyed it a lot.

Revisado: 12-15-19
Ozzy Morris is a cold case detective and also a member of the SWAT team. When participating in a response to a bank robbery turned hostage situation, he meets Pete, a pregnant omega. He cannot help but find himself attracted but his family objects as they get closer. Pete is sure no alpha would want a pregnant omega. Even his family tells him that. As if working with these disadvantages is not enough, the gun used the robbery turns out to be one used to murder a trooper 20 years ago. This give Ozzy the perfect excuse to get closer to Pete.
There is much going on in Adrenaline Rush. There is action, danger, conflict, and of course falling in love. Once started you will not want to stop. This one is very exciting and has more than a few twists.
The narration was wonderful and kept my attention through out.

Turning to a blog for comfort, he finds himself in an online Dom/sub relationship. As part of that relationship, Matthew is set goals. He meets those goals as he works for A.L.L. Real life now interferes with his online relationship and Matthew has to decide if he can submit without the internet as a buffer. I loved the way Isobel Starling brought these two men to life. They quickly become so much more to you. Listening to it on tape made it even better. I lvoe how audio beings books to life.

Declan's relief at having Sam home throws him into house-husband mode. He's happy to take the reins and care for his partner, however, beneath the surface, Declan cannot help but be drawn back to how he felt in the Highlands, and how they were betrayed by a man who was supposed to have their back. Declan had promised Sir James Aiken that he would pay if he hurt Sam, and now Declan has to decide how he can deliver his payback and put his and Sam's world back on an even keel.

Sam and Declan are Full of Surprises
Revisado: 09-07-19
Sam is slowly recovering from the events in the Highlands. His injuries require Declan to help him, something Declan is happy to do, but makes Sam unhappy. Both men find themselves dwelling on what happened. Sam wants to know why and who Is behind it while Declan wants to pay Sir James back for his betrayal and for hurting Sam. He sees this to take the chance to even the odds and bring their world back on an even keel.
Wow! Sam still has a few tricks up his sleeve. Declan does as well. Counterblow will leave you with an admiration for the two men and a few cheers for them as well. I cannot wait for the next book, which is coming soon.
It is incredibly easy to fall into the world of Declan and Sam. Gary Furlong’s narration makes the story so incredibly rich and realistic that you feel as if you are there and experiencing exactly what the characters are.

Keeps You on the Edge of Your Seat
Revisado: 09-07-19
Declan Ramey’s life has changed dramatically since falling in love with his boss’s son Samuel Aiken. Now the two are being sent on a mission. Two agents are missing, presumed dead. Sam and Declan are to ascertain what happened and complete the reconnaissance of G’wan Adventure centre in the Scottish Highlands. But Sir James makes it hard on them as he once again sows discord between the two and leaves a few interesting and vital facts out of his briefing. It does not take long before the two are in a fight for their lives. They soon realize they would do anything to for each other. But first they have to survive.
Return to Zero will have you on the edge of your seat. You will not be able to believe what is happening. Betrayal and danger become the name of the game as these two fight for their lives and their relationship. Sir James once again has left out a few facts and the are paying the price. Fortunately, Sam and Declan are resourceful and hope that fact will keep them alive. This series is excellent. Neither Sam nor Declan are perfect which is what makes the series even more perfect.
Gary Furlong once again does an excellent job of bringing these two to life. You feel as if you are there based on the realism of his reading. He is one narrator I shall be looking for as he is fast becoming one of my favorites.

Historia
Declan had never met the kid who was to be his joint best man. Sam Aiken was abroad, working as an interpreter and finishing his studies. But on meeting Sam Aiken, Declan is surprised to realize the kid isn't a kid at all, but a tall, blond, and athletic young man. Declan is sure he's straight, so he's alarmed by the ferocious attraction he feels for Sam. And as the attraction is reciprocated, the events at Dunloch Castle change everything Declan has ever believed about himself.

Revisado: 08-20-19
Declan Ramsey's brother is marrying Samuel Aiken's sister. The bride and groom decide the two men can share the best man's duties. Since Sam is away working as an interpretor and finishing up his studies, they work together through email. They do not actually meet until a few days before the wedding. Declan is surprised to feel an attraction for Sam but is sure that Sam is straight. Sam feels the same attraction and is just as sure that Declan is straight. When Sam returns his affection, everything changes. They spend a wonderful week together in a fairy tale castle having a fairy tale affair.
These two are amazing together. Declan is resistant and Sam is determined. Between the two they find a way. Their affair builds gradually until the two find themselves in love and wanting to spend every moment with each other. The story is incredibly romantic but also there is an undercurrent that you know will affect them. The next book should be intriguing as their relationship is explored further.
The narrator, Gary Furlong, does an incredible job. He has the ability to use different accents for each character and brings them life so realistically that you feel as if you are there. His portrayal is amazing. I look forward to more of his books.

Amazing Storytelling
Revisado: 08-20-19
Declan has returned to London to resume his duties working for Sam's father. He admits to himself that he is bisexual but is upset when Sam's absence extends to months rather than weeks. Sir James Aiken, Sam's father, is not happy to learn of Declan's relationship with his son. He is actually repulsed by his own son's homosexuality. In spite of that, he also reorganizes that Declan would be a good candidate for his covert operations. Declan is forced to endure quite a bit to be with his love and join him as an agent.
Sir James shows himself to be uncaring and focussed on his own projects and not his agents. Sam as one of his agents is only meaningful to Sir James in terms of his usefulness. This makes for some tense moments. Declan is devoted to Sam as is Sam to him. The romance is incredible and you can't help but fall in love with Declan and Sam as they do with each other. It is not without problems as you will find when you devour the book. I know I am hooked on these two.
Gary Furlong as narrator adds to the enjoyment of the story telling. In his capable hands the book comes to life and feels so real. He is fast becoming one of my favorite narrators.
