Read with discernment

Too long, too rambling, too crass

It was chapter 9 before he got to any substance I could use. I stopped reading in chapter 11 when I decided I no longer needed to spend my precious time listening to language I prefer not to hear and trying to find nuggets of value amidst the rambling storyline. He suggests I not waste my time on irrelevant information consumption so I will avoid the rest of this book.

Not just for parents of boys!

Even though I have two girls, this was such a great book. While the implementation will look different, many of the principles outlined in this book apply to girls as well as boys. More importantly, it reminded me of some of the aspects of "boyhood" I need to teach my girls about such as allowing a boy to help you. (For an independent minded girl this is the last thing she wants!)
You are either raising modern day knights or the young maidens who will one day marry those knights. Let's raise an honorable generation!
