Historia
Fischer has everything he needs in life: blossoming friendships, a menagerie of cute animal companions, a waterfront property with easy access to fishing, and enough coffee to take out a small elephant or a really big dog. Unfortunately, Fischer can’t catch a break. Cosmic forces? Still throwing curveballs. The bigwigs in the capital? Starting to sniff around his business. Cults? Still culting. Plus, awakened beings are washing up on his shores like flotsam after a storm. And worst of all? His coffee guy ghosted him!

Historia
The long-awaited sequel to Jake’s Magical Market is finally here—and now with more market! Well, not quite yet. First, Jake has to survive a perilous trek through time if he ever hopes to return home to his friends, his market, and his former world. The last time we saw our intrepid hero, Jake had barely managed to escape being trapped on a dead version of his own world. Using a combination of his new powers, he threw himself backward through time, back to when the god that trapped him first rose to power.

Amazing Author - Amazing New Narrator filling big shoes
Revisado: 03-23-24
Yes, it took a bit to transition to a new narrator, However, he did a great job. The book itself was a fun roller coaster ride of ups and downs with Jake as he becomes used to his new powers. Looking forward to the next iteration.

Historia
Adam Binder has lost what matters most to him. Having finally learned the true identity of the warlock preying on his family, what was supposed to be a final confrontation with the fiend instead became a trap that sent Adam’s beloved Vicente into the realm of the dead, where none living are meant to be. Bound by debt, oath, and love, Adam blazes his own trail into the underworld to get Vicente back, and to end the threat of the warlock once and for all. But the road to hell is paved with far more than good intentions.

Must read/listen
Revisado: 05-17-13
If you could sum up Once a Warrior - Always a Warrior in three words, what would they be?
It is okay, to have PTSD.
What does John Pruden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have read the text as well, but something about having someone else tell you the story stick.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
PTSD is a normal warrior reaction.
Any additional comments?
If your or someone you know has combat PTSD, this is a must.
