I loved this book. As a Sherlock Holmes Fan, I loved how the author weaved all the known Sherlock Holmes characters into a believable story and setting up, hopefully, a fun new series.

Body and soul. The song. That's what London constable and sorcerer's apprentice Peter Grant first notices when he examines the corpse of Cyrus Wilkins, part-time jazz drummer and full-time accountant, who dropped dead of a heart attack while playing a gig at Soho's 606 Club. The notes of the old jazz standard are rising from the body - a sure sign that something about the man's death was not at all natural but instead supernatural.

I really tried to like and enjoy this story but I never got beyond the third chapter before my mind wondered off - hard to get through a book with having to constantly play catch-up.

Historia
Ever since disgraced associate Orrie Cather’s suicide, armchair detective Nero Wolfe has relished retirement in his Manhattan brownstone on West 35th Street. Two years after Cather’s death, only a visit from Maria Radovich - and the urging of Wolfe’s prize assistant, Archie Goodwin - could draw the eccentric and reclusive genius back into business. Maria’s uncle, New York Symphony Orchestra conductor Milan Stevens, formerly known as Milos Stefanovic, spent his youth alongside Wolfe as a fellow freedom fighter in the mountains of Montenegro.

Poor knock Off of Rex Stout
Revisado: 02-26-23
This is the third Goldsborough book I have listened to And the last one. The narrator makes Archer sound mean and disrespectful which is a shame because Archie is a fun loving "Smart-ass " not sarcastic and nasty. This Archie is constantly disrespectful to Wolfe which makes the relationship not work. Wolfe and the others I could get used to.

Psmith and his friend Mike are sent by their fathers to work in the City. But work is the last thing on Psmith's mind; surely there are more interesting things to do with the day than spend it in a bank? Unfortunately the natives aren't conducive to his socialising within work hours, but all's fair in love and work as the monocled Old Etonian, with a little grudging help from Mike, begins to rope in allies in order to reform the bank manager and make him A Decent Member of Society.
