Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Historia
Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

Interesting and inspiring
Revisado: 01-22-21
Interesting and inspiring book, definitely worth hearing. Simon's narration is excellent as well. Some of his examples seemed very one-sided ( separating the "finite" guys and the "infinite" guys according to some specific actions while ignoring complexities ), yet overall did made me think.

Historia
Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

Somewhat interesting somewhat repetitive
Revisado: 12-03-20
"Sleep is important" message being delivered over multiple hours of what seems like mostly repetitive facts and stories. There are some interesting facts in the book but I would have enjoyed it more if it was condensed in one hour.

nice story, over emotional narrative
Revisado: 10-10-19
stopped reading after 2 chapters - The story is overall cute, but nothing much happens and the narration felt over emotional ( imagine someone telling him about their dog and almost crying, and then about another animal they met and almost crying - gets a bit emotionally tiring for me - maybe others will enjoy).

Mostly interesting
Revisado: 10-06-19
Mostly interesting, good narration. However, it could have been much more concise for me. About 20% of the book is interesting ideas I could relate to, while 80% are psuedo scientific proofs and too many examples. The ideas were interesting enough though for me to continue till the end.

Historia
Are you ready for self-transformation? Many spiritual teachers promise transformation, but Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff delivers. Gurdjieff (1872-1949) was born in Alexandropol on the border of Russia and Turkey. Gurdjieff's teachings contain many concepts that, taken together, are referred to as the Work. The idea behind the Work is that our first birth is our physical body, which is all we need to get through life. But we are capable of developing into something higher; just as an acorn can stay an acorn and die or develop into an oak tree....

Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self is the account of an extraordinarily talented lucid dreamer who goes beyond the boundaries of both psychology and religion. In the process, he stumbles upon the Inner Self. While lucid (consciously aware) in the dream state and able to act and interact with dream figures, objects, and settings, dream expert Robert Waggoner experienced something transformative and unexpected. He was able to interact consciously with the dream observer.

Interesting, but feels repetitive.
Revisado: 01-04-19
It's really nice to listen to, and brings some interesting insights about lucid dreaming . However, it feels very repetitive and long with trillion examples - I wish it was more to the point, or providing practical advice . Might be more suitable for people who are already practicing lucidity for a few years.
