it was good but...
Revisado: 08-21-23
I feel like this story could have been great. however, there were too many seems where the main character Farah kept describing everyone as if they were Central or too many sex scenes. or how hot she felt when he was nearby Etc I did not like the ending either. unless there's another book the part about being bonded with that tattoo felt unresolved. I had to skip multiple scenes which is annoying cuz you lose the momentum of the story. I don't think it was necessary to give that many details to explain how clearly she felt about him and how physically lonely she clearly was. the villains were written well despite the rest of the scenes. my favorite character I would say was Lucian.

Revisado: 07-30-23
this was a very fun book to read. Jared is my favorite character for sure. I enjoyed how the Christian message was mostly introduced without being too much. and it felt so powerful. I always like listening to a good story of redemption. even when the characters have powers. I know we don't really have powers like that, but it makes you realize how great is God's love. it doesn't matter who we are or what we did we are redeemable in his eyes. thank you!

this is a very beautiful story. It reminds me of how my husband helps me out when I can't see outdoors and sometimes indoors. I am visually impaired. I like how respectful he is amd how thoughtful. I have experienced some of the feelings Tessa did myself. You did a great job Abbie.

Historia
The tide is turning against the colonists in the Revolutionary War, and 18-year-old Elizabeth Morris cannot sit by idly. Quietly disdainful of her Tory parents, who drag her along to society events and welcome a British soldier into their home during their occupation of New York City, Elizabeth decides to take matters into her own hands. She realizes that, as a young woman, no one around her believes that she can comprehend the profound implications of being a nation at war - she is, effectively, invisible. And she can use this invisibility to her advantage.

I think this book was even better than the previous. I loved all the sneaking around of the thief. I enjoyed also that they have multiple stories in one book. I also love how the relationships between them have portrayed. I love how the writter and narrator make tge romance feel real.

Elizabeth Black is the headmistress of a girls' school in 1830s Victorian London. She is also a well-respected author of stories written both for and about the upper-class ladies of Victorian society. But by night, she writes very different kinds of stories - the Penny Dreadfuls that are all the rage among the working-class men. Under the pseudonym Charles King, Elizabeth has written about dashing heroes fighting supernatural threats, intelligent detectives solving grisly murders, and dangerous outlaws romancing helpless women.
