Fantastic characters and world creation

First off let me be clear, the main character is not a know-it-all. He is humble centered on his principles and not afraid to admit when hes wrong and explain when hes not. If only we all strived like him to live up to the truths we've been blessed with and to learn more. I really identified with him and loved the way the other characters interacted and mentored him. Would that we all could stumble into a group/family like his. I am loving how the author writes about magic and the way it behaves in this world almost scientifically. The interactions with Gods and powerful monsters is so entertaining. I'm so excited to keep reading this series.

Author does a fantastic job of keeping this dry subject very enjoyable and I must say I learned a lot! Will definitely be recommending this book to anyone I know who is interested in money and details on banking throughout history. The narration is fantastic as well!

As a man who is constantly confused why talking never fixes anything and always wondering why my wife rarely understands what I'm trying to say, this book clearly and scientifically explains why my wife never understood me. it also explains why I react the way I do when confronted. I absolutely loved this book and know my relationship will be stronger for it. Im talking real connection both emotionally and physically. A must read!

this has to be one of the only books I have ever read that can literally make me laugh out loud it's a bit embarrassing to be listening to it in public and to suddenly burst out laughing but no there's nothing wrong with a good laugh now and then even if it's a little embarrassing

Hank is a thug. He knows he's a thug. He has no problem with that realization. In his view the galaxy has given him a gift: a mutation that allows him to withstand great deals of physical trauma. He puts his abilities to the best use possible and that isn't by being a scientist. Besides, the space station Belvaille doesn't need scientists. It is not, generally, a thinking person's locale. It is the remotest habitation in the entire Colmarian Confederation. There is literally no reason to be there.
