Great, taut horror told via VH1 Behind The Music

This was a great listen! The full cast did an excellent job and brought life to each character. Leslie's narrator always felt rushed a bit but that's okay.

My only complaint is that I wanted more. It felt like it ended right as things were ramping up!

XE Sands perfectly narrates a magical whodunnit

I really enjoyed this one! It was a quick, fun listen that blends whodunnit and a magical academy story.

There's lots of (semi-valid) complaints on here about the MC's constant whining but I felt like Ivy was a really built out character. Sure, it got annoying sometimes but she also felt like a real person. We all have baggage and baggage is annoying.

All in all: great characters, a fun setting that makes demystifies Hogwarts in a refreshing way, twists and turns and highschool drama - it was a great little book.

Gailey is an excellent writer and I'm eager to read more of her stuff! This is the first book I've heard narrated by XE Sands and she is now one of my favorite narrators.

This book was great! Sanderson is such a prolific writer and this, I believe, might be his most accessible book for someone wanting to start his works.
While it was a little slower, he always writes like a roller coaster slowly clicking up that first hill. Once you get there, hold on.
Spensa is a very likeable and isn’t your typical heroine. The journey that she goes through internally was beautiful and so much more realistic when compared to other YA archetypes.
Only Sanderson can take a polluted genre, SFF YA, and create something moving, original and timeless without being tropey, saccharine and melodramatic. I love this author, this book; you will too.
Oh! One last thing! Suzy Jackson is a fantastic narrator!

This book has been heavily marketed on Audible for a very good reason: it's phenomenal. A unique take on the zombie apocalypse story, great narration, memorable characters and fungal ants. Use your credit already!

Haunting Near Future Dystopia

Atwood is a legend for a reason. This series is her magnum opus for a reason. This was one of my first audible purchases and it didn't disappoint. Campbell Scott does an excellent job narrating this one.

Why are you even reading this? Scroll back up and use your credit. This book is amazing! Well worth the hype even if you don't go in for stories like the blurb would have you believe this is. There are twists and turns you'll never see coming. The narration is fantastic and the pace is lightning fast. Buy this. Do it.

Slow burn creepy lovecraftian folklore goodness

Exactly the book I was hoping for this fall. Creepy, lovecraftian weird fiction that gets under your skin. This book is great if you value dread over shock. Langan concocts the perfect fish story with all the nuance you would hope for. Even the negatives served the theme - kind of rambling and chock full of detail but "don't worry I'm going somewhere with this."
Langan does a great job at using a lovecraftian mythos/mythology elements but in a highly original way unlike many of his contemporaries. Phenomenal narration by Campbell!

Sandersons' first epic trilogy will get you hooked

I've been a Sanderson fan for only a few years and, embarrassingly enough, it took me a while to get to this gem. Now having read it twice, I can easily see how this is most people's gateway into this incredible writer.

Sanderson weaves a fantastically plotted and paced heist story with memorable characters. The magic system is amazing as always. Kramer is an excellent narrator (if a little slow; you can easily listen to this one at 1.5x).

This book is a must read/listen for any fantasy lover.
