Historia
No electricity, no family, no connection to the outside world. For eight years, Cooper and his young daughter, Finch, have lived in isolation in a remote cabin in the northern Appalachian woods. And that's exactly the way Cooper wants it, because he's got a lot to hide. Finch has been raised on the books filling the cabin’s shelves and the beautiful but brutal code of life in the wilderness. But she’s starting to push back against the sheltered life Cooper has created for her - and he’s still haunted by the painful truth of what it took to get them there.

One of my top favorites
Revisado: 09-29-23
This is one of those stories you read that stays with you after the final page. I was living in the woods with the father and daughter. The eerie years that passed and internal thoughts of the father was engrossing. Scotland will forever be a character that sits in my head.
This story is not long or too short, just above a novella, and written so very well. It is a mixture of different aspects in genres which made it even more fantastic.

Historia
An influencer, an overachiever, a heartthrob, an outcast, and a conspiracy theorist all go into the woods. Sometime around midnight, one of them vanishes. Now, the four who came back sit at the police station, and they each have a very different story to tell about the events of the night. What truths will their lies reveal? And with the clock ticking, will the real story come out before one of them is gone for good?

Non memorable story listened in one sitting
Revisado: 09-29-23
Told by multiple POV, we listen to the teens that set out on a spontaneously camping trip that went wrong.
Listened in one day and was entertaining but not memorable. The audio narrator kept my attention with the different POVs.

Historia
Sometimes, the worst day of your life happens, and you have to figure out how to live after it. So Clementine forms a plan to keep her heart safe: work hard, find someone decent to love, and try to remember to chase the moon. The last one is silly and obviously metaphorical, but her aunt always told her that you needed at least one big dream to keep going. And for the last year, that plan has gone off without a hitch. Mostly. The love part is hard because she doesn’t want to get too close to anyone—she isn’t sure her heart can take it.

My Heart!
Revisado: 09-29-23
This is one of those books I read at the right time, if I had read it a few years ago it would’ve definitely been the wrong time. Funny how that works. And if you read this story, you’ll understand what I just said.
The message was something I needed to read/hear, it hurt but was also healing. The love story woven with a bit of magic just pulled my heart strings, I kept pausing so many times because I was afraid to keep going and finish the story, I didn’t want it to end but also wanted it to end how I felt it should.
The audio narrator was fantastic, the narrator held my full attention and I felt every single emotion which brought the story full force.
This will be a forever favorite of mine and book to always come back to.

Better to actually read than listen
Revisado: 10-05-19
The performance of the characters were great, but the story dragged on and on. It was also confusing at times with characters and what was going on. This book is probably better to be physically read than listened too. I had to fast forward to the end just so I could get it over with.
