Historia
Mary Brown is funny, gorgeous, and bonkers. She's also about 50lbs overweight. When she realises that she can't cross her legs and has trouble bending over to tie her shoelaces without wheezing like an elderly chain-smoker, it's time to take action. So, one rainy day she puts down her pizza and heads off to Fat Club, where she flirts, causes mayhem, and celebrates every pound lost with a huge glass of wine.

Grisham at his best.
Revisado: 07-08-23
This book holds your interest from beginning to end. It’s a wonderful story of a community and a young man coming into his own. It’s also a crime novel that keeps you guessing. Michael Beck does a fantastic job as narrator.

Historia
When I was little, I dreamed my life would be a fairy tale. But it just so happens that I don't need a knight in shining armor to save me anymore. I'm made of freaking steel. It's time for answers. Time for vengeance. And time to finally unmask the notorious V. There's no going back now.

Unrealistic Story
Revisado: 01-07-21
This is a 3 part story that could and should have been written all in one book. I always finish books I start, that being the only reason I listened to the complete series. The books are repetitive and unrealistic. The Summer character to not recognize Miles as V even after having sex with “both” and not realizing it’s the same person is just unbelievable. The constant back and forth of I love you , I hate you is unnecessarily repetitive. The Liza character is probably the best under utilized character of the series. It is never explained how V found Liza’s network for him to hack and it didn’t make sense that he has this hi-tech apartment yet was unable to create his own surveillance system. I would not recommend this series.

Historia
Evelyn Taylor-Clarke sits in her chair at Forest Lawns Care Home in the heart of the English countryside, surrounded by residents with minds not as sharp as hers. It would be easy to dismiss Evelyn as a muddled old woman, but her lipstick is applied perfectly and her buttons done up correctly. Because, Evelyn is a woman with secrets, and Evelyn remembers everything. She can never forget the promise she made to the love of her life to discover the truth about the mission that led to his death, no matter what it cost her.

Lacks excitement
Revisado: 02-11-20
The story eludes to “Eva’s” spy training throughout however it lacked much of a story of her actual use of her skills. Her admission of two discretions have little purpose. I only finished the book because I always feel the need to finish every book I start.

Historia
At the end of the Second World War, Cyril Conroy combines luck and a single canny investment to begin an enormous real estate empire, propelling his family from poverty to enormous wealth. His first order of business is to buy the Dutch House, a lavish estate in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. Meant as a surprise for his wife, the house sets in motion the undoing of everyone he loves. The story is told by Cyril’s son Danny, as he and his older sister, the brilliantly acerbic and self-assured Maeve, are exiled from the house where they grew up by their stepmother.
