Brought the History to Life
Revisado: 11-30-21
Not only did this story based on facts; it brought to light the pain of the three women caused by the King Henry the VII. This King barely puts to death Anne Boyle, he searches for the next Queen from Germany. she also an Ann, Ann of Cleaves. Ann was married and could not stand the king made her sick from his gangrenous leg wound. She therefore, chose to stay in their separate rooms. Ann tried to have a relationship with her stepchildren and Henry didn’t want that. He started to tramp around with Katherine Boleyn and started the hunt to get rid of Ann. There are treasonous things done of which can’t be undone. But the only one to survive Henry’s madness is Ann of Cleaves who dies in one of her many residences at the age of 41. The dialogues are very intriguing and each of the characters are truly brought to life. I would recommend the book. I found it enjoyable.

Historia
Massachusetts Bay Colony, 1676. Even before Mary Rowlandson was captured by Indians on a winter day of violence and terror, she sometimes found herself in conflict with her rigid Puritan community. Now, her home destroyed, her children lost to her, she has been sold into the service of a powerful woman tribal leader and made a pawn in the ongoing bloody struggle between English settlers and native people. Battling cold, hunger, and exhaustion, Mary witnesses harrowing brutality but also unexpected kindness.

Intriguing Story
Revisado: 03-03-21
I love how the main character was ok with slavery or what is the law of the Bible. She changed her tune when captured my the Indians. She herself was made a slave and treated poorly. Life as she knew was gone and it took time to understand about the people and the love and sharing that was her captures lives. She learned language and traditions and became a better person for it. I read this book and then listen to it. It is quite well written and captures the time well.
