Historia
Mr. Hood's Holiday House has stood for 1,000 years, welcoming countless children into its embrace. It is a place of miracles and blissful rounds of treats and seasons, where every childhood whim may be satisfied.… There is a price to be paid, of course, but young Harvey Swick, bored with his life and beguiled by Mr. Hood's wonders, does not stop to consider the consequences. It is only when the House shows it's darker face - when Harvey discovers the pitiful creatures that dwell in its shadows - that he comes to doubt Mr. Hood's philanthropy.

I read this as a young child. It still holds up 25 years later. Very little exists in the story to date itself. Wonderful story.

This is a gay erotic novel before all else.

First scene talks about an underage girls nipples. Then quickly moves on to an underage boys first homosexual encounter with an older man. This is nothing like the synopsis described. Shame on the reader of this book for the performance. Degenerate.

Historia
A revolution brewing for generations has begun in fire. It will end in blood. The Free Navy - a violent group of Belters in black-market military ships - has crippled the Earth and begun a campaign of piracy and violence among the outer planets. The colony ships heading for the thousand new worlds on the far side of the alien ring gates are easy prey, and no single navy remains strong enough to protect them. James Holden and his crew know the strengths and weaknesses of this new force better than anyone.

Meteoric, esoteric and juxtaposed; if you've read the series you'll get the joke. As good as trilogies get. I loved the world woven by the writer and the trilogy nature caps it off nicely.

Kind of SPOILERS - Tech manual
Revisado: 09-02-16
This reads more like a tech manual at times. Heavy handed on the realism/racism with the Arabs being what they are in this book (not really spoiler but kind of). Also the idea everyone loses their damn minds is a little hard to swallow to a point... Interesting story but just not entertaining. YMMV. My friends loved the series. so...

Historia
The fourth book in the NYT best-selling Expanse series, Cibola Burn sees the crew of the Rocinante on a new frontier, as the rush to colonize the new planets threatens to outrun law and order and give way to war and chaos. Enter a new frontier. "An empty apartment, a missing family, that's creepy. But this is like finding a military base with no one on it. Fighters and tanks idling on the runway with no drivers. This is bad juju. Something wrong happened here. What you should do is tell everyone to leave".

I'm so sorry Eric
Revisado: 06-21-16
I really appreciate someone reading my books for me, I just got into Audible last year and have "read" over 50 books. Jefferson Hayes is one of the best narrators ever and to come after him anyone would be sub par. This book was read by someone else for a time and it was not as delightful as Jefferson. By apparently popular demand we've gotten Jefferson back so please don't give up. They had him rerecord it! Thank you Audible peeps. The story was great before, I am excited to give it another chance with the auditory honey of Jefferson's voice.
