Historia
We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. No, it’s a war we feel deep inside our own chests: we are at war with lies. The problem isn’t so much that we tell lies but that we live them. We let them into our bodies, and they sabotage our peace.

I was surprised
Revisado: 02-12-23
I was surprised by this book. God has a name was so good. I do recommend that one for sure!! This one I do not. When you start saying things that go against the whole point of your book there is no way I could finish. You are believing lies that have been shoved down your throat.

Historia
We live in a fractured country, a country in which identity politics, creeping socialist policies, toxic social media, and the vast partisan divide threaten the very fabric of America. After decades of political decay and of losing sight of our first principles, the American people are suffering from runaway debt, increased rates of depression, broken families, moral decay, and more. In Jesus Politics, Phil Robertson provides an alternate path: a radical call for Christians to use their freedoms to advance the agenda of the King and win back the divided soul of America.

Agenda
Revisado: 09-16-20
I always give up on a book when there is an agenda on not defending oneself. People come in and kill others and you are just like them if you defend yourself...I think not. I am so tired of this being pushed.

Wanted to love it...
Revisado: 12-07-19
I enjoyed the first book in the series. It was cute, funny and entertaining for all ages. I was so excited for this book.
I am very disappointed the direction and how this book turned out. It felt lost, all over the place. Could not connect with the plot or how the characters acted in this one...felt like different characters. Could not wait for it to end.

Historia
Ivy Westfall is beyond the fence, and she is alone. Abandoned by her family and separated from Bishop Lattimer, Ivy must find a way to survive on her own in a land filled with countless dangers, both human and natural. She has traded a more civilized type of cruelty - forced marriages and murder plots - for the bare-knuckled brutality required to survive outside Westfall's borders.

Any additional comments?
I can not stand for a book that has a man rape a NINE year old, rapes and kills ANOTHER girl and then tries to do it AGAIN to the main character. She has a chance to kill him and says I can't I do it, I do not want to be a murderer like him. WHAT?! If you protect and value life there would be no question.
Just one example of the main character thinking throughout every situation. VERY maddening!!!

Any additional comments?
I did enjoy most of this book. But I do not relate to thinking one thing and doing another. Could not get past that in the main character!! Got tired of her thinking things in her head and making a problem bigger. She could have stood up for what was right. Thinking her family would stop. stupid.

Who would not want a strong man to protect you….apparently Sophie. Will not understand her getting frustrated over a man being a man. The rest is a great story. Would recommend to others. James did a great job narrating.
