I don’t mind Audible Books with a full cast but Audible Books that have constant background sounds from music to creaking doors and footsteps can not be tolerated! It’s akin to listening to a movie… which means I’m missing out on 50% of the story. IF background sounds are need to tell the story, then Audible is not the proper format for that story….
Don’t waste your money on this one!

Totally underwhelming

I’m a big fan, I really am and I so looked forward to A Plague of Giants but I found it hard to follow and totally underwhelming. If I tried to read in in book form, I would have never gotten past the first couple of chapters before sitting it down and moving on. The performance by the readers is the only thing that help me finish to Audible version.

Why oh why would anyone do a full cast performance of this story?
Any good reader could have done this story justice but by using a full cast with sound effects you turned it from a great story to a narrated movie with no video. THAT makes it hard to follow unless you've got nothing else to do except sit and listen very carefully. No good if your trying to drive or do much of anything else.
I listen to Audible books because I work alone a lot or drive a lot... I love this story and this is the only audible, unabridged version I have found and it sucks!
