Historia
In the vast, artificial galaxy called the Spin, a rebellion has been crushed. Viklun Hass is eliminating all remnants of the opposition. Starting with his daughter. But Fleare Hass has had time to plan her next move from exile to the very frontiers of a new war. For hundreds of millions of years, the planets and stars of the Spin have been the only testament to the godlike engineers who created them. Now, beneath the surface of a ruined planet, one of their machines has been found.

What was the point
Revisado: 11-23-20
the vocal actor was great. But what was the point of this book so many threads all over the place and none of them relevant to anything. since the next book is thousand of years in the future i’ll try one more time maybe it develops into a story. buyer beware

Hutch has been the academy’s best pilot for decades. She’s had numerous first contact encounters and even became a minor celebrity. Why the long pause
Revisado: 11-09-20
I enjoyed the story. The reader’s vocals where strong and great at creating individual voices for the characters. But the long dramatic pause between thoughts, transpired time and chapters was frustrating. Maybe it was an editing issue maybe it was done intentionally I don’t know. But was was distracting and took away from the overall performance.

wow!!! I would listen again
Revisado: 03-22-19
I downloaded this book for reasons i now have forgotten, I mean 83 hours that’s like six commercial free years of your favorite t.v. series. I binged listened everyday, hour to work hour home. It sucked me in just like one of my favorite sci-fi series that I recently decided to rewatch start to finish, stargate atlantis. There times I craved more depth of the character or more development of a particular story arch but all and all it was minor. Big Applause to the narrator for bringing life to the characters. His mastery of convey the authors image of his characters through voice purely magical. When the final seconds were counting down I thought well it’s done now what am i am going to do. Great Job can’t wait to circle back and hear the next adventure in the Black Ocean.

listen because you need closer
Revisado: 04-15-15
As with any good story I hate for it to end. but the third book in this series felt forced and scattered and I only listened to it in its entirety out of curiosity for how the author planned to wrap up a story line that left me with more questions than answers.
so listen because you have too but set your expectations really low
