I wasn’t going into this with any specific expectations. I do enjoy the author voiced titles generally over a separate narrated Autobiography. Josh has that strong as steel voice. 🔥
I was more than pleasantly surprised. This is a memoir not an autobiography. It jumps around the time line yet is just enough to paint a beautiful and chaotic picture that tells me Josh is a real one.
I’m not sure how it will be perceived from the opposite $ex yet I found it beautiful. It was Raw and as honest as anyone can really be talking about them self. We believe what we perceive so I took it as honest.
I appreciate the his nonsense attitude.

I liked the multiple tails and histories linked together.

I overall enjoyed this read. I’m not sure why people were complaining about the narrator, I thought her voice was great. While I understand the authors voice may sounded a little little more youthful or something to that effect I don’t think it would’ve changed the story for the better.
Overall, I liked hearing the different stories and histories of how they’re all kind of linked together not really just one overall making up the current holidays we celebrate etc.
The explanation of how older tales may have contributed to other ones that came later that all contributed possibly to once now with no definitive answer.
The only issue I had was at certain times. I wasn’t sure when they were talking about the actual tales or the real life experience of the author, Other than that, I will reread it to listen again it was an interesting take. I think I will even enjoy it more the second time around.

A Zombie Story, where Zombies play the Background. People are the real threat!

I enjoyed the story.. It is a Zombie Story where people are the threat. Zombies are the after thought. Who is really Bad or Good? It’s all perspective. It took a second because one character Max’s voice irritated me. Probably the point. In very short time I was sucked in. Continuation of the story/series coming? I wanted to keep going. More please..

I couldn’t even listen!

I tried…. I love NBC. The Narrator is so Over the top up and dow. Over dramatized. I couldn’t pay attention. I found the narrator beyond annoying. I’m so disappointed as I really wanted this on Audible. I’m not sure how there are all other just 5 stars. I could barely hear as it was just Way too much up and down. Really disappointing.

Most Bible thumpers MAY like it, I didn’t . I don’t get all the high reviews

Spoiler alert…. I found the book annoying. It was all based on the same thing with different examples from essentially the same occurrence. It’s all a call to go back to God with 9/11 as a warning. It’s Fiction people. The examples based in truth are what authors do to try to engage. It didn’t work for me. Too preachy. I don’t care what religion or what ever people believe. Yet when someone tells you this is the one religion to listen to I shut off. It’s no DaVinci Code. It seemed too repetitive. I found the authors delivery annoying. 2 characters and it was hard to tell who is who as the delivery is the same. No difference in tone or inflection. If you want to believe some made up stuff have at it sheeple. I listened to hours hoping it would get better. It didn’t. I don’t get the great reviews. I’m getting a refund on this one.

Great story with interesting pieces to put it together

Very interesting story with lots of visuals including real interviews and audio recordings. Many different ways the store was put together. I enjoy the occasional music and sound effects also.

Love Rakim Narrating this!!

I loved Rakim narrating this. I honestly wanted even more. Great stories, insite to his thoughts and ways. Stories of the past and beyond. You won’t be disappointed other than that you’ll want more.
