Love these, including the reader's voice
Revisado: 04-08-23
Really good book, with character development so rich even for the dog, who is a prime character. I just live this series. Appropriate for older children, but good enough for adults to like as well.

Dreary book, drags. Does provide good suspense, but the story is ...ugh..Not the worst book, but just a downer all the way through.

Got better but started with syrupy gossip
Revisado: 06-24-22
The supporting characters are petty and shallow. All the gossipy plot in the beginning annoyed me to the point where I almost gave up on the book. It improved some, and the main character's predicament was intriguing enough that I finished the book.

Historia
When Browder’s young Russian lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, was beaten to death in a Moscow jail in 2009, Browder cast aside his business career and made it his life’s mission to pursue justice for Sergei. One of the first steps of that mission was to uncover who had killed Sergei and profited from the $230 million corruption scheme that he had exposed. As Browder and his team tracked the money that flowed out of Russia—through the Baltics and Cyprus and on to Western Europe and the Americas—they discovered that Vladimir Putin himself was one of the beneficiaries of the crime.

But at her hospital bed, Alex is offered a second chance: to attend one of the world’s most prestigious universities on a full ride. What’s the catch, and why her?

Solid Spellbinding Story
Revisado: 01-05-20
I was expecting some cheesy, spurious, gossip-laden infotainment. Instead, I found this book to be well-written, with supporting facts, VERY engaging, and good solid literature. You won't be able to put it down. Lots of facts that weave a solid story. I recommend this book to everyone. It's a great read for Trump fans, Trump-haters, and people who do not care one way or another, because it is about SO MUCH MORE than DT. This was a very difficult time for this company, and it didn't end well for everyone. Plus and minus for all. Read it!

Historia
It is a chilling story that begins in the 1970s, when Trump made his first splash in the booming, money-drenched world of New York real estate, and ends with Trump’s inauguration as president of the US. That moment was the culmination of Vladimir Putin’s long mission to undermine Western democracy, a mission that he and his hand-selected group of oligarchs and Mafia kingpins had ensnared Trump in, starting more than 20 years ago with the massive bailout of a string of Trump hotel and casino failures. This book confirms the most incredible American paranoias about Russian malevolence.

Astonishing facts and details
Revisado: 09-11-18
Craig Unger has pulled together the long and dangerous picture of the Trump family's history as con men and white nationalists. None of this started "yesterday" or even in this generation of Trumps. Without criticizing or judging, the facts and details are presented for our review, and listeners can form their own conclusions. The evidence is widespread and abundant - back-channel connections, business with foreign mob figures, gangster-like activities, moving in a corrupt world of mutual favors, loophole exploitation, and money hiding behind multiple LLC layers - all these come to life in this incredible chronicle. This story starts a little slow, but hang in there! About a quarter of the way through, listeners will be captivated and unable to stop. This paints a picture far, far beyond collusion, since greed has no boundary.
