Historia
Keeper Kate has spent weeks searching for her missing brother. Following his trail, studying clues, and using the mysterious aenigma box to help reconstruct the story of what had happened to him. But she's gotten the story dreadfully, catastrophically wrong. Now, faced with the losses and scars from her search, she and Venn must tackle a new obstacle: the elven White Wood and its ruthless king. In a desperate attempt to find her brother, Kate finds herself entangled in a deadly quest to find the Warden of the Wood—a search that will lead to her own death if she doesn't complete it in time.

Excellent listen, excellent story!
Revisado: 03-15-25
I have always loved Kate Ready as a performance artist. Here she has a book that has story, and characters that are worthy of her talent. I always hate a book this good to end. Now what am I going to listen to?!!!!!!

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Kate Redding was wonderful as usual. Had some technical difficulties with the download stopping and restarting from the beginning often but I stuck with it because the story was so good I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Historia
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.

Historia
A woman vanishes in the fog up on "the Hill", an area locally known for its tranquility and peace. The police are not alarmed; people usually disappear for their own reasons. But when a young girl, an old man, and even a dog disappear, no one can deny that something untoward is happening in this quiet town. Young policewoman Freya Graffham is assigned to the case; she's new to the job, compassionate, inquisitive, and dedicated to the task of unraveling the mystery behind this gruesome sequence of events.

You don’t kill off characters you get the reader so
invested in. Great book, well written. Simon is incidental in this book and not very likable. Hated the ending.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Surprisingly good! Grabs you right away and creatively never lets you down. Like able characters, even the tough ones. I read a lot of different genres and appreciate a book that can make me smile over and over. Worth the credit. Great narration.

Historia
The philosopher asks: "Faced with the mutually exclusive choice between moral principle and the survival of your family, which is the correct path?" Philosophers love to pose such questions, and in the day-to-day struggle, such thinkers rarely attain to a level of relevance rivaling that of the simple hunger pang. Their careful considerations dissipate under the leveled gun. We do not feel their disapproving gaze when The Others draw near. When the world sends doom, the survivors do not hesitate. The survivors do what is necessary.

Revisado: 03-26-21
I am in full Anticipation mode waiting for a follow up book to find out what happens with Gibbs and Alan. Great character development - you really care about these people. Lots of surprising twists and unexpected views into humanity - good and bad. Can’t believe he wrote two other books before writing the next one in the series!

Historia
Billy Todd has always been different. Most people called him odd, and those were the nice people. Though he was born with a learning disability, Billy's parents never allowed him to consider himself disabled. Raised to be self-sufficient, Billy might not be as smart as some, but he was a lot smarter than people realized.
