Historia
In John Scalzi's re-imagining of H. Beam Piper's 1962 sci-fi classic Little Fuzzy, written with the full cooperation of the Piper Estate, Jack Holloway works alone for reasons he doesnt care to talk about. Hundreds of miles from ZaraCorps headquarters on planet, 178 light-years from the corporations headquarters on Earth, Jack is content as an independent contractor, prospecting and surveying at his own pace. As for his past, thats not up for discussion.

SO FREAKING GOOD!
Revisado: 04-16-25
I love John Scalzi's books, especially when they're narrated by Will Wheaton (the only combo I might like as much is TJ Klune and Michael Lesley), but this one is my current favorite. IT WAS JUST SO GOOD! And the comeuppance! 🤌 *MWAH!* Chef's kiss! I highly recommend this audiobook to all of the people in all of the places.

My name is Edovard Durand Folange. I'm twenty-seven years old from Fresno, California, and recently, I moved across the country to live with my new parents and brother. Oppa kills people for a living, Papa is his announcer guy, my brother is like his assistant, and I guess it turns out I'm the person the magic tells who needs to die—it's called being an Augur. I don't really know what that word means, but even though it's scary, I'm getting used to it.

Super Sweet Followed by a Super Hilarious!
Revisado: 03-18-25
I love both the stories in this book, Edivard's because it is syrupy sweet and Sterling's because it is outrageously hilarious and quite raunchy! I definitely recommend this book!

Historia
Arthur Parnassus lives a good life built on the ashes of a bad one. He’s the headmaster of a strange orphanage on a distant and peculiar island, and he hopes to soon be the adoptive father to the six dangerous and magical children who live there. Arthur works hard and loves with his whole heart so none of the children ever feel the neglect and pain that he once felt as an orphan on that very same island so long ago. He is not alone: joining him is the love of his life, Linus Baker, a former caseworker in the Department in Charge of Magical Youth.

Another Beautifully Queer Book from TJ Klune 🥰
Revisado: 03-01-25
I absolutely love TJ Klune. 🥰 His stories are always wonderful, showcasing queer stories in beautiful ways. It makes my heart happy to watch the relationships between Arthur, Linus, and the children develop, and the ending made me cry a few happy tears. 🥹 I definitely recommend this book!

There’s no way in Helgar's Nebula I’m marrying the candidate my parents have chosen for me. I don’t want to be the house-husband of some stoic warrior who only cares about training all day. Boring! Thankfully, I’ve learned a thing or two from all those rom-com human movies I’ve illegally downloaded off the intergalactic web. No one will see it coming when I pull a runaway groom maneuver on them!

Wonderful, as Always! 🥰
Revisado: 12-29-24
I absolutely love Chloe Archer and the universe in which this story takes place. This book is very low drama, smooshy marshmallowy Christmas fluff, and I love it. 🥰 The bonus chapter from "The Tentacular Tales of Captain Starblade" is also very sweet. I highly recommend this one!

Historia
Shesheshen is a shapeshifter, who happily resides as an amorphous lump at the bottom of a ruined manor. When her rest is interrupted by hunters intent on murdering her, she constructs a body using a metal chain for a backbone, borrowed bones for limbs, and a bear trap as an extra mouth. However, the hunters chase Shesheshen out of her home and off a cliff. Badly hurt, she's found and nursed back to health by Homily, a warmhearted human, who has mistaken Shesheshen as a fellow human

So Wonderful! 🥰 And Pretty Gross at Times! 😆
Revisado: 12-05-24
I absolutely love this book! The narrator is wonderful, the main character is very unique and feels very autistic-coded, the love interest is chubby, large, and strong, and their relationship is super sweet. 🥰 There is also some very descriptive grossness, and I love it as well. 😆 It might help to provide a trigger warning for some as there is quite a lot of physical and emotional abuse of one of the characters through a good chunk of the book, but I love how the characters work through the trauma together. I definitely recommend this one!

This is the first John Scalzi book I've listened to, and I frickin' loved it! It was hilarious much of the time, with touches of sweetness. The cats and dolphins were the best. 🥰

Historia
Nineteen-year-old college student Eliza Hennessey is trans—and she has a rocky relationship with her father, their new client. Brian's convinced his daughter's vanished, rather than run away, but Fran and Ken aren't so sure she wants to be found. The PI duo investigate, and soon Fran is butting heads with her irritating sort-of-ex-boyfriend Mank at the NYPD, who has what seems to be a similar case on his desk. But not even Fran could guess how tangled their investigations are going to get—or how deep they'll need to dive into murder and mayhem to solve the case!

Between the humor and the absolutely perfect way the narrator gives voice to Fran (thank you for not making her a soprano!), I couldn't get enough of this book. 🥰 I can't wait for the next book in the series (PLEASE LET THERE BE ANOTHER BOOK IN THIS SERIES)!

Historia
After losing their parents when they were just babies, private investigators Fran and Ken Stein now specialize in helping adoptees find their birth parents. So when a client asks them for help finding her father, with her only clue a rare ukulele, the case is a little weird, sure, but it's nothing they can't handle. But soon Fran and her brother are plunged into a world where nothing makes sense—and not just the fact that a very short (but very cute) NYPD detective keeps trying to take eternal singleton Fran out on dates.

Historia
Xavier Reynolds is doing less than stellar. He just got dumped, was passed over for a prestigious fellowship, and to top it all off he's right back home in Harper's Cove, Maine (population: 9,000). The last thing he wants to do is to work as a prep chef in the kitchen of the hip new restaurant in town, The Wharf. Especially since the hot, single-father chef who owns it can’t delegate to save his life.

I really wanted to like this book, but almost DNF'ed it several times. But I do not DNF lightly! I struggled through! I thought it might be getting better toward the middle, but I was mistaken. I don't like leaving negative reviews because I know how much work the author must have put into it, but there were so many instances where it felt like the characters just flipped a switch. I also found the ending extremely frustrating. So, yeah! Do with this review what you will!

Historia
I've devoted my life to my son, always putting his needs first, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. Becoming a father was the best decision I've ever made, but hell, single parenting is difficult. I'm so tired of holding everything together. I need a partner, someone to share my life with. I miss intimacy and passion. I want someone who will take charge and help me let go of all this control I cling to. But an endless string of bad dates and rejection has me feeling like maybe love will never come for me. Maybe a father is all I'm meant to be in this life.

The one narrators accent..
Revisado: 02-23-24
This was a very sweet story, with very nice spicy bits. I also loved that one of the narrators seemed to be doing an Eddie Izzard impersonation for his English accent. 10 out of 10 would recommend. 😁
