Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Listening on auditable to “The Spare”
in Prince Harry’s voice was so intriguing. He kept you engaged in his every word. Such honesty and purity! I love that Megan and he choose to come to live in America. It’s the land of the BRAVE and the FREE. American’s have always thought the English press was a mess and this only confirms it. Hope that some day a full screen Hollywood movie can be made of this fabulous and soon historical read.
And prayers that true reconciliation within the family will transpire soon!

Historia
A classic of medieval Italian literature, Giovanni Boccaccio’s Decameron still matters for us today. And Boccaccio scholar Kristina Olson reveals why in the 10 lectures of Books that Matter: The Decameron. Here, you’ll listen between the lines of stories that range from hopeful and spiritual to cynical and bawdy. You’ll hear words turn a sinner into a saint, brutes made noble through the power of love, and riches rediscovered on the open seas.

An Informative and entertaining introduction to a classic
Revisado: 12-07-21
This is an informative and entertaining guide to a classic which finds new relevance in the Covid era. The balance between detail and overview is perfect for a wide audience and provides many insights into the historical context of Boccaccio’s masterpiece and the universal appeal of these ageless stories on the human condition. Congratulations on bringing the diverse tapestry of the Fourteenth century to vivid life. We look forward to many more offerings in the Books That Matter series and from this author.
