Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Mispronounced words
Revisado: 01-19-25
The speaker continued to mispronounce words. I found that very annoying. I wanted to like the story, I just didn’t.

Historia
The COVID pandemic propelled many people to change their lives in ways large and small. Some adopted puppies. Others stress-baked. Peggy Orenstein, a lifelong knitter, went just a little further. To keep herself engaged and cope with a series of seismic shifts in family life, she set out to make a garment from the ground up: learning to shear sheep, spin and dye yarn, then knitting herself a sweater.

I wanted too like this book
Revisado: 09-25-23
The subject matter is among my favorites, however the handling of it is lacking. There are so many talented authors writing about the fiber arts, unfortunately this book was just a disappointment. There is too much political content. If you want to read about the fiber arts look elsewhere, this book is preachy and political. The fact that the author states she doesn’t want to drag her parents in the mud while frequently criticizing and negatively portraying them is nauseating and quite immature for a woman her age.

Disappointing
Revisado: 06-29-22
Under the Tuscan Sun is one of my favorite movies. The audiobook was disappointing. I think the screenwriter for the film worked miracles. I am from the south and love a good southern drawl, but the performance of this book is annoying. I have never heard anyone from the south pronounce things so poorly.

Stuff. It's everywhere. And it's not just the physical clutter that weighs us down. New York Times best-selling author Ruth Soukup feels your pain - she has been there too. Through personal stories, Biblical truth, and practical action plans, she will inspire and empower each of us to finally declutter not just our home, but our mind and soul as well. Unstuffed is real, honest, and gets right down to the question we are all facing - how can we take back our lives from the stuff that is weighing us down?

Great ideas
Revisado: 01-15-19
This book has a lot of wonderful ideas for unstuffing your life. I particularly enjoyed the sections regarding sentimental items and items of those who have passed away. While the narrator was not my favorite, the content was well worth listening to.

Robotic voice and redundant material
Revisado: 12-31-18
I’ve listened to some wonderful cleaning books, but this one is just okay. It is redundant in its presentation of material. The vocal talent used sounds awkward and robotic. The downloadable material is the best thing going for this audiobook. It’s a bit contradictory at times as well.
