I always enjoy these adventures of Jack and Sarah. I have gotten quite used to the intro music. I would like to formally request for the director to please bring back the intro.

Most CONFUSING audio book I've ever listened to!
Revisado: 03-12-23
Someone ruined a possibly fine story with this strange and perplexing audio book. I selected this book because of the narrator, Teddy Hamilton, who is always great. However, I cannot understand why on earth the author would hire dual narrators, only to have each narrator read in the "3rd person". It was super hard to follow. Then there is this weird and unnecessary 50s music before each chapter. I kept asking why the heck this was needed.? There is little to no heat, very little chemistry between main characters, not extremely romantic and not even that funny. The director of this book should give the publishing company their money back. Do yourself a favor and just buy the e-book. Much better choice.

Narrator was HORRIBLE!!!
Revisado: 11-03-22
I don't know if it was a lack of a director for this audio book or what but this book was absolutely painful to finish. The story was cute but the narrator sounded like he was bipolar throughout the book. Most of his reading seemed bored and monotone and then out of the blue, his voice became exceedingly happy. Then in unexpected places, his voice seemed like he was almost crying! It was horrible! Audible no longer gives refunds for non-credited books, so I am stuck with this monstrosity of a story reader. Save yourself a credit and get this book on Kindle.

Historia
Most people called it a cult. But for 20 years, Josh and Caleb called it home. In Paradise, there is no television. No fast food. Just long hours of farmwork and prayer on a dusty Wyoming ranch and nights in a crowded bunkhouse. The boys of the Compound are kept far from the sinners' world. But Joshua doesn't need temptation to sin. His whole life he's wanted his best friend, Caleb. By day they work side by side. Only when Josh closes his eyes at night can they be together the way he craves. It can never be.

Teddy Hamilton was awesome but the other guy.....
Revisado: 09-06-22
This was a great story. Well written and quite enjoyable. Teddy Hamilton never disappoints. He always manages to tell a good story, without the "feel" that someone is actually "reading to you". Drake Bliss was almost painful to listen to. I kept feeling like we were in class and the teacher called on him to reluctantly read a paragraph. His monotone voice was unexciting and he even seemed to forget to pronounce the "R" in "refrigerator". I would suggest that the author choose a different person to read her work. However, I honestly think that T.H. could handle the various characters alone.

Bring back the original narrator!!!
Revisado: 04-05-21
it is so hard when you get used to a certain voice in a series, then the author goes with another totally different narrator. I understand that sometimes the original narrator may not be available or is working on another protect, but the least you could do is attempt to get someone with a Scottish or even an Irish accent. This reader clearly sounded British. He wasn't the Hamish we all know and love!!

Historia
When private detective Agatha Raisin comes across a severed leg in a roadside hedge, it looks like she is about to become involved in a particularly gruesome murder. Looks, however, can be deceiving, as Agatha discovers when she is employed to investigate a case of industrial espionage at a factory where nothing is quite what it seems. The factory mystery soon turns to murder and a bad-tempered donkey turns Agatha into a national celebrity, before bringing her ridicule and shame.

Historia
When therapist Jill Davent moved to the village of Carsely, Agatha Raisin was not a fan. Not only was this therapist romancing Agatha's ex-husband, she dug up details of Agatha's not-too-glamorous origins. Jill also counsels a woman, Gwen Simple, that Agatha firmly believes assisted her son in some grisly murders, although there is no proof. Not one to keep her feelings to herself, Agatha tells anyone who will listen that Jill is a charlatan and better off dead.

Bring back Penelope Keith!!!!
Revisado: 02-22-21
I think the author needs to realize that when listeners get used to a certain narrator and if that same narrator is unavailable in the next book of a series, they should at least try to get someome who sounds like the original reader, as we are used to a particular voice. This person does NOT sound like Agatha RAISIN and all her different characters all sound alike. I simply do not enjoy this reader.

Agatha Raisin's detective agency has become so successful that now all she wants is some R&R. But as soon as she cuts back her hours, Agatha remembers that when she has too much quality time, she doesn't know what to do with it. So it doesn't take much for the vicar of a nearby village to persuade her to help publicize the church fete, especially when the fair's organizer, George Selby, happens to be a gorgeous widower.

This narrator was more "mature" than expected!
Revisado: 12-19-20
This book is well written and interesting, as usual but this particular narrator is much older than the usual readers. Hearing such a mature voice is clearly different when you are used to hearing the story being read by someone much younger.

Historia
Dick Francis’ witty blend of horseplay and mystery is an incredible combination. As a result, each of his equestrian novels gallops onto best-seller lists. In Twice Shy, Dick Francis whips up a fast-paced race through the risky world of horse betting. It begins when, offering little explanation, a friend thrusts some cassette tapes into Jonathan Derry’s hands. But when the young man tries to play them, he realizes that, instead of “Oklahoma!”, he’s been given taped computer programs.

Revisado: 11-26-19
This book was going on just fine without the help from the second narrator. He was a complete bore. His monotone voice was painful to keep up with and I can't I understand why Simon Prebble wasnt allowed to finish the book as his brither, William. I finally had to skip to the last chapter just to find out how the book ended. Simon Prebble doesn't need any help with reading a novel!!!
