Not a solutions book, but a recommendation book
Revisado: 01-27-25
Not sure if I misunderstood the author when I saw a podcast of him recommending his book but the material presented wasn’t a solution to helping the masses understand financial issues. A lot of the people seeking this book would already know the majority of what Mr. Bryant is conveying. It’s an ok listen…

Good starting historical entry

For those that have done a bit of historical reading and research, there’s not a lot of new insightful information presented. But it is a good read.

Historia
America’s backstory is a whitewashed mythology implanted in our collective memory. It should come as no surprise that the dominant narrative of American history is blighted with errors and oversights—after all, history books were written by white men with their perspectives at the forefront. It could even be said that the devaluation and erasure of the Black experience is as American as apple pie. In Black AF History, Michael Harriot presents a more accurate version of American history.

The Author/Narrator holds your attention the entire book. It’s like sitting around a cookout listening to the older generation tell stories.

Historia
In this brilliant book, Isabel Wilkerson gives us a masterful portrait of an unseen phenomenon in America as she explores, through an immersive, deeply researched narrative and stories about real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. Beautifully written, original, and revealing, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents is an eye-opening story of people and history, and a reexamination of what lies under the surface of ordinary lives and of American life today.

I throughly enjoyed this book. The parallel comparison of nazi germany and the united states is well down. Hopefully this serves an eye opener for those that feel sympathetic for holocaust survivors and not the enslaved population.

Historia
Visiting Martin Luther King Jr., at the peak of the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott, journalist William Worthy almost sat on a loaded pistol. "Just for self defense," King assured him. It was not the only weapon King kept for such a purpose; one of his advisors remembered the reverend's Montgomery, Alabama home as "an arsenal".
