Historia
After a devastating loss, Brynn Wilder escapes to Wharton, a tourist town on Lake Superior, to reset, and checks into a quaint boardinghouse. In her fellow lodgers, she finds a friendly company of strangers: the frail Alice, cared for by a married couple with a heartbreaking story of their own; LuAnn, the eccentric and lovable owner of the inn; and Dominic, an unsettlingly handsome man inked from head to toe in mesmerizing tattoos. But in this inviting refuge, a mystery begins to swirl. Alice knows things about Brynn, about all of them, that she shouldn’t.

Good story
Revisado: 09-10-20
The story was good, but I like the performer to change their voice for the different characters but this one didn't do that. so it was hard telling which one was supposed to be speaking.

Historia
A man has been mutilated and left to drown on the incoming tide, handcuffed in his van. With the murder bearing a striking resemblance to a string of sadistic killings carried out with surgical precision in 1990s gangland Manchester, it can mean only one thing: the killer is back. Transferred to the Major Investigation Team, DI Nick Dixon is assigned a new partner and sent to Manchester. Meanwhile, the gruesome murders in Somerset continue.

Historia
In the fading town of Rooster, Texas, all that's really left is a service station, a church…and the Banty House, a long-ago Depression-era brothel. For more than seventy-five years, Betsy, Connie, and Kate Carson have called their mama's house a home. The three eccentric sisters get by just fine with their homemade jams and jellies, a little moonshine on the side, and big hearts always open to strangers. Like Ginger Andrews.

Good story
Revisado: 06-28-20
A little ridiculous that a baby that only weighs that much is too large to be born naturally. My mother had 9 children. She wasn't a large woman, but I was the smallest of her 9 children weighing in at 8lb 8oz. Her largest was 10lb 10oz. I was 20 when my first child, a girl, was born and weighed 8lb 11oz. She would have probably even have been bigger if I hadn't of lost weight during the whole 9 months instead of gaining, especially when I wasn't very large to begin with. Most of the neighbor women also had larger babies than that also. I am only pointing this out because authors should research what they write about, and I think most of the time they do, and they usually do a great job, and I did enjoy the book very much.

Some details are good, but there were so many unnecessary details that added nothing to the story, and made it boring and hard to keep up with the actual story.

Too hard to follow

This book was very hard to get interested in, and too hard to follow. Some of the names sounded too much alike, so hard to tell who was who.
