Adams returns to the vivid and distinctive world he created in that enduring work, reacquainting listeners with the characters we know and love, including Fiver, Hazel, Bigwig, Dandelion and the legendary rabbit hero El-ahrairah. These compelling tales include all-new adventures, with the younger generation of rabbits eager to find out about the heroic age that existed before they were born.

Dandelion tails
Revisado: 10-17-24
While I have read the original book many times, I found myself struggling to make it through this book. No oppertunity was ptovided to connect emotionally with Hazel and company, since it consists of stories about other rabbits. The narrator, who was perfect for the Dune series lacked the dynamic range of voices, the dracula voice , as I think of it , gets tired after multiple tales by Dandelion.

Fascinating when Focused on Scientist not Aurhor
Revisado: 01-17-22
Solid story when focusing on Scientist and science and is 4 stars for most of the book. Unfortunately the narrative is weakened and looses focus in the latter parts when the author inserts himself in the story such as mending relationships between scientists or replicating experiments.

Performance with no character
Revisado: 03-30-21
Harder to listen to than Book 4 of George RR Martins ice and fire series. This needs a redo with another narritor.

Historia
In 1914, the war which was to have been wrapped up by Christmas had - in reality - only just begun, as all sides entrenched themselves deeper into the Great War. Christmas Eve, 1914 follows one company of British officers as they rotate forward to spend their Christmas on the front lines, a mere 80 yards from the German guns. Upper- and working-class men and boys are thrown together into one trench and struggle to survive.

dramatic performance is slow and detracts
Revisado: 04-14-17
the dramatic performance is slow and detracts from an otherwise interesting historical event. Acting was solid but again limited by the play itself.

Historia
In what is considered one of Heinlein's most hair-raising, thought-provoking, and outrageous adventures, the master of modern science fiction tells the strange story of an even stranger world. It is 21st-century Luna, a harsh penal colony where a revolt is plotted between a bashful computer and a ragtag collection of maverick humans, a revolt that goes beautifully until the inevitable happens. But that's the problem with the inevitable: it always happens.

Engaging even in 2015!
Revisado: 12-24-15
By focusing on people this novel manages to stay engaging and fun! This has aged very well.

It's America in 1962. Slavery is legal once again. The few Jews who still survive hide under assumed names. In San Francisco, the I Ching is as common as the Yellow Pages. All because some twenty years earlier the United States lost a war - and is now occupied by Nazi Germany and Japan.

Dated Hugo winner doesn't span the years
Revisado: 12-15-15
Perhaps because I watched the amazon adaption but this piece feels dated in many ways. The relationship between individuals was more interesting than the individuals themselves.
