Historia
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

For a long time, no one pulling the strings in the comedy world thought that a woman over fifty from rural Tennessee could make it in the industry. But Leanne Morgan has defied the odds, reaching millions with her musings on hormones, low-rise britches, Weight Watchers, and her opposites-attract relationship with her husband, Chuck. In her charming southern accent, Morgan brings listeners inside her quest to find her voice after spending many years trying to figure out what that meant.

I have been a fan of hers for so long. I have seen all the videos I have even went to one of her shows. I was afraid the book would be redundant. BUT it was not. I finished it in like 2 days. It is super funny, she is a great storyteller and also we are the same age and I am facing a crossroad in my career so it inspired me to consider making changes. Really loved it!

Historia
After years of pursuing a denim design career, Maris Carrington never imagined trading her Chicago studio for a New England shingled cottage. But a forgotten home movie tucked inside a dusty attic box leads to an unexpected summer ... One of uncovering family secrets while settling her father's estate, one of inheriting a forlorn German shepherd, one of reconnecting with old friends on a weathered boardwalk, beneath starlit skies on a beach nestled in a crook of the Connecticut coast.

Really Great Story
Revisado: 09-06-24
I was skeptical getting into this series - it's not the type of books I normally listen to which is why I decided to try it. I need to break out of my habits and explore new things.
First off the narrator was BAD. Really bad. It was hard to get past it, but once I did I really enjoyed the book. Love all the different characters and it was a very well written story that kept me interested. Excited about the second one.

Historia
Meet Harold Fry, recently retired. He lives in a small English village with his wife, Maureen, who seems irritated by almost everything he does, even down to how he butters his toast. Little differentiates one day from the next. Then one morning the mail arrives, and within the stack of quotidian minutiae is a letter addressed to Harold in a shaky scrawl from a woman he hasn’t seen or heard from in twenty years. Queenie Hennessy is in hospice and is writing to say goodbye.

It's truly amazing that something that seems as small as a long walk can actually completely change your life and perhaps the lives of others. I truly loved this beautiful story.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

This book kept me captivated the entire time. I always listen to books when I walk and this had me looking forward to my walk every day. I was shocked that people gave it so-so reviews. It goes to show a book can be absolutely wonderful even when a few think it's not.

It's been seven years since Chelsea Martin embarked on her yearlong postcollege European adventure.
