Not bad
Revisado: 01-11-25
I have read A LOT of Brandon Sanderson. In fact I have read the other Way of Kings books 3 or 4 times. I was so excited about this new one. I am mostly listening on tape, so the narrator’s interpretation may be coloring my opinion. I loved the integrity, devotion, the Honor of the characters in the first books. I loved that they were wholesome and that even my 5 year old grandson listened with interest. This last book is not the same. The first half of the book was difficult for me to get through. A lot of “therapy” like dialogue that wasn’t interesting to me. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this for younger children unless you want to explain same sex attractions. It plays a somewhat significant part. the second half was much better. Even exciting toward the end. So I recommend this book, but not as much as the others.

Historia
In virtually every way that can be measured, Gen Z’s mental health is worse than that of previous generations. Youth suicide rates are climbing, antidepressant prescriptions for children are common, and the proliferation of mental health diagnoses has not helped the staggering number of kids who are lonely, lost, sad and fearful of growing up. What’s gone wrong with America’s youth? In Bad Therapy, bestselling investigative journalist Abigail Shrier argues that the problem isn’t the kids—it’s the mental health experts.

Amazing research and content

A real eye opener. A must read for every parent and teacher, grand parent. The research, and any honest observation shows we are raising our children all wrong.

I’m so sad there isn’t another book yet. I have thoroughly enjoyed these books, and the narrator is excellent.

Disappointed
Revisado: 09-30-22
First, the book is extremely sexually graphic. I continually had to fast forward to avoid the vulgar descriptions. I wish I hadn’t wasted my time listening. It was just very below average.

Excellent narration
Revisado: 09-11-21
I loved the story, but it was enhanced by the amazing narration. I have never heard an audiobook that was read with so much personality, excellent character portrayal, and the accents were credible. It made the story fly by, and I was sad to see it end. Just wonderful.

Sordid story about pedophilia.
Revisado: 08-13-20
The story kept my attention, but I thought the narrator sounded like a 50 year old smoker instead of a young man, which made the story less than it could have been. Pretty sordid plot about pedophilia, was hard to take at times.
