Great story. Already started book 2.
Revisado: 06-22-22
Excellent book. I love the story and the plot, but the narrator is horrible. Very flat. No pause between paragraphs or even chapters. But I am loving the book so I am going to push through it and keep going with the next book. I hope they find someone to re-narrate these books.

It's the same story three times.
Revisado: 07-06-20
It's the same story from told three times from three different characters views. I gave up half way through the third book. Performance was great, but story was very lacking. I don't recommend.

Historia
The Stars Realm has 832 new members, and they are ready to go to the Galaxy of the plant creatures and attempt to stop their destruction of entire planets. It is not going to be easy having to face fleets of more than a million warships with some of the largest being longer than 20 miles. This confrontation is going to be monumental.

Good ending to the trilogy
Revisado: 11-21-14
Would you listen to A Rose Grows in Weeds again? Why?
Yes. I enjoyed all three books and would listen to them again. They are what I would call light sci-fi. A feel good series that doesn't have to many plots within plots within plots. An easy listen. I know others said they were not very realistic in the events that happen, but I still enjoyed all three books.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A Rose Grows in Weeds?
The ending, but I don't want to give it away.
Which character – as performed by Liam Owen – was your favorite?
Liam did a great job with the alien voices so you still knew who was speaking.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Rose told about who she was going to marry.
Any additional comments?
A fun listen for all three books. Finished all three in about a week. Didn't want to stop listening. Good thing I had to spend 8 hours in the car in two days.

Historia
Thomas's Duchess is no ordinary cat. She's a purebred Barque Cat, trained to patrol the ship on which she serves, sniffing out oxygen leaks and spotting other problems. But when a corrupt government announces it has found an epidemic that requires the impounding and possible destruction of animals across the galaxy - Barque Cats included - two young people, a kitten, and a mysterious, powerful cat with a hidden agenda, are all that stand between the galaxy's animals and total destruction.

Couldn't wait for it to end...
Revisado: 08-13-10
This seemed to be more of a children's book to me. The narrator's voice was so childish at time's I had to just fast forward. I love Anne McCaffrey, but this book was a disappointment to me.
