Historia
Merritt Coletto and her husband, Luca, have the life they dreamed of: a coastal home, a promising future, and a growing family. That dream ends with a late-night knock on the door. Weak, broken, and emaciated, it’s Luca’s first wife, Lydia. Missing for ten years, presumed dead, and very much alive, she has quite a story. Racked with guilt over the beautiful life they’ve built, Merritt and Luca agree to help get Lydia back on her feet - it’s the least they can do. But the more enmeshed Lydia becomes in Merritt’s family, the more questions Merritt has.

Great fast moving story!
Revisado: 03-07-25
I loved this book. It was fast moving, Held my interest all the way to the end. The end was a surprise and a little gruesome but this was a great read. My only complaint would be that occassionally the voices would all sound the same and it was hard to tell who was speaking.

Just slow moving
Revisado: 12-14-24
I liked this book, but the beginning is very slow moving and goes on and on about who is wearing what to the activities and things which is just boring. Took almost the entire book to get exciting and move the story along. The last chapter or two is good because it finally gets moving.

Historia
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

Excellent read!!
Revisado: 10-21-24
I loved this book. Though it is a sad story of a little girl lost in the chaos of her father's super stardom, I feel that Riley Keough has done a beautiful job telling her mother's story. You can feel the love and respect she has for her mother and although a not so traditional upbringing Riley obviously is intelligent, well spoken, and wrote the story without one minute of condemnation for anyone. That is a very rare thing these days. Her mother obviously did a very good job raising her. Riley shows a maturity beyond her years and sculpted a loving, graceful and totally respectful story of her mother. Well done. Oh yes and Julia Roberts is also wonderful reading the part of Lisa Marie. Warm and well spoken. Nice Nice job ladies!!!!

Terrific story telling
Revisado: 08-27-24
I loved this book! It moves along very fast and the characters are wonderful. Narrarator was awesome! Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the jumping around in the story. It sometimes left me not having any idea where the story had moved to. Still, great book!!

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

Excellent read !!!
Revisado: 05-14-24
I loved this read!! Not only is the story true and full of history and facts and human triumph and tragedy, it is an exciting and fast paced story. Cassandra Campbell's performance was stellar. Her voice as Eliza is beautiful, eloquent and lilting. As Lafayette she changed dramatically to an excellent French accent. Wonderful job!!!

Loved this book!
Revisado: 01-12-24
I loved this book. The stories and people are rich vibrant characters that you grow to love. My only complaint is that the author took sooo much time describing items and locations and things that sometimes I just wanted to get back to the storyline. I got confused at times on what he was even talking about. It seemed he would be daydreaming while speaking and just go on and on, but i loved the book!!

Very enjoyable book!!
Revisado: 08-21-23
I loved this book! So nicely written and easily flows. It was enjoyable to read a simple story about family love and trials and struggles ending in a sweet and gentle way. Shannon McManus did a wonderful job! Her voice is soft and lyrical like the country hills she spoke about. She nailed all of the voices just perfectly. Very nice job. I will recommend this book to my friends.

I enjoyed this book, though at times it was pretty slow moving. The narrator was excellent! I feel the need to read a little more about the disappearance of Christie... Was the little girl Teddy part of the story true??
