Historia
Ruwen’s life is inside out, literally. Trapped in the Spirit Realm by a hostile god’s magic, Ruwen’s spells, abilities, and skills no longer work. Worse, his secret "cultivation" ability is now blindingly evident. A critical clue, given to Ruwen during the betrayal, makes him question the motives behind the treachery and offers a path home.

Absolutely amazing!
Revisado: 04-29-21
This book is proof that the story can stand on its own, without relying on the LITRPG elements to keep it moving forward. I was unsure of how the story would hold up without the characters' ability to see their status or read notifications, but the lack of either of those things was handled beautifully, while still maintaining the pacing and the flow that we have come to expect from the previous two books.
Travis, as always, knocked it out of the park with his top-tier performance.
I am filled with excitement to see how the rest of the series continues.

An Excellent Sequel to my Favorite LITRPG Series!
Revisado: 05-13-20
The story continues immediately after the end of Book One and the plot continues to thicken. The intrigue grows, and we find poor Ruwen finally coming to terms with what he has to do. He probably would have figured it out sooner, if it weren't for those darned debuffs!
The pacing of the story is perfect, and the introduction of new mechanics has you asking all of the right questions. Like a comfortable heavy blanket, you will find yourself enjoying on a cold day, this story will fill you with that same soothing warmth. You'll become quite connected to the characters with their fun and believable banter. All of these things will leave you with a burning hunger for more.
It should also go without saying, but I find myself having to say it anyways. Travis Baldree continues to do a wonderful job and is quickly becoming my all-time favorite narrator, and he should be yours.

It's Ruwen’s Ascension Day, and he finally dies for the first time. His newly revived body can learn spells and abilities for the class given him by the Goddess Uru, and dying is no longer permanent. Ruwen’s high intelligence makes becoming a Mage inevitable. With his new powers, he will locate his parents and clear their family name. But nothing goes as Ruwen imagined, and when a rival God tries to kill Ruwen shortly after his disastrous Ascension, his focus turns from his future to just surviving.

One of my favorite LitRPGs!
Revisado: 05-01-20
This series is absolutely amazing. I wasn't sure because of the choices that were made in the first couple of chapters, but I decided to stick to the story, and I was pleasantly surprised. As such, it has become one of my favorite litRPGs. If you want intrigue, grinding, interesting RPG elements, unique abilities, and awesome fight scenes, this is the book series for you.
Travis Baldree is a wonderful narrator, has an excellent range, and really brings this story to life.
