Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Revisado: 11-25-15
Where does Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have waited for Harry Potter to be available for way too long, It's like getting to watch your favorite show or movie over and over. While I've read the books multiple times it's nice that now I can listen at work or while driving, to a book that I love.
What about Jim Dale’s performance did you like?
I was so glad that the Dale was a great reader. His voice doesn't put you to sleep or take away from the story at all. If anything it enhances the story and all of the characters.

Go Sox!
Revisado: 10-01-15
If you could sum up Red Sox Nation in three words, what would they be?
Heartbreak and Hope.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Sox Nation?
I enjoyed the whole book but especially the history, told through the words of the players etc. As a lifelong fan I cried hearing how close they always got and how bad the losses were, but I also cried hearing about the wins, the hope, and the never-ending passion for this beloved team.
What about Peter Golenbock’s performance did you like?
I thought his performance was so great! It felt like hearing stories from your father or grandfather about this team. It made you feel like you were at Fenway with your old man as he shared his memories of the team with you.

Historia
The ordeal of the whaleship Essex was an event as mythic in the nineteenth century as the sinking of the Titanic was in the twentieth. In 1819 the Essex left Nantucket for the South Pacific with 20 crew members aboard. In the middle of the South Pacific the ship was rammed and sunk by an angry sperm whale. The crew drifted for more than 90 days in three tiny whaleboats, succumbing to weather, hunger, and disease and ultimately turning to drastic measures in the fight for survival.

Historia
Defying both civil authorities and the Mormon establishment in Salt Lake City, the renegade leaders of these Taliban-like theocracies are zealots who answer only to God; some 40,000 people still practice polygamy in these communities. At the core of Krakauer’s book are brothers Ron and Dan Lafferty, who insist they received a commandment from God to kill a blameless woman and her baby girl. Beginning with a meticulously researched account of this appalling double murder, Krakauer constructs a bone-chilling narrative of messianic delusion, polygamy, savage violence, and unyielding faith.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I think it gives a lot of information on how the Mormon religion began and it also looks into how a fanatic of any belief could do something horrible in the name of religion.

Revisado: 06-10-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this series to a friend. I really love True Blood and these books are great to listen to when waiting for the show to air again. As they are on the last season now the books will be sure to keep me entertained.
What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She voices the characters really well. Everyone has a distinct voice and it makes the story that much better.

Great Story
Revisado: 06-10-14
If you could sum up The Demonologist in three words, what would they be?
My three word summary would be Very Interesting History. These people worked for years and the stories they have are very interesting. I listened to this right after The Amityville Horror, a few questions I had after that book were cleared up. I don't know if I believe everything but the stories are very fun to listen to.
What about Todd Haberkorn’s performance did you like?
The reader was not slow or dull, he kept you interested in the story.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I feel like the film based on certain aspects of the book was already made and it was made well. The Conjuring was a really great horror film.

For O.J. Simpson to get away with murder, an innocent cop, a brilliant detective, had to be destroyed. That was the cynical strategy of the Simpson defense. But as certainty about Simpson's guilt grew, so did the outrage about the scapegoating of Mark Fuhrman. Now the former LAPD detective tells his side of the story in a damning expose.

Take one look at Kevin Smith: He's a balding fatty who wears a size XXL hockey jersey, shorts, and slippers year-round. Not a likely source for life advice. But take a second look at Kevin Smith: He changed filmmaking forever when he was twenty-four with the release of Clerks, and since then has gone on to make nine more profitable movies, runs his own production company, wrote a best-selling graphic novel, and has a beautiful wife and kids. So he must be doing something right.

Where does Tough Sh-t rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love this book. I'm a very big fan of Kevin Smith and am super upset that his other books are not available on Audible.
Any additional comments?
This book, like any of Smith's books is a look into his life which is so interesting and with him reading it it's like he's telling to all of these stories personally. Plus, he's hilarious which is the best part of any of his books!
