Historia
As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem. This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves.

Fantastic Narration, Kept Me Entranced
Revisado: 03-19-25
I absolutely enjoyed the narration. There wasn’t a moment where it felt flat, and it hit at moments where it was supposed to.
As for the story itself, it truly was heart wrenching to listen to the tragedy of Haymitch’s story, but it also was wonderful to be reintroduced to some well-known characters from the Hunger Games series. There was plenty of lore building involved in this story that makes you appreciate some of the idiosyncrasies of many of the side and main characters.
To sum it up, it was absolutely worth the wait! Suzanne Collins has once again rocked me to my core with this novel.

Great story, not-so-great narrator
Revisado: 03-03-23
I was a bit disappointed in being taken out of the story between mispronunciations and words not being said altogether. That being said, the book is interesting and still is a must read!

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

A Must-Listen for Everyone
Revisado: 12-16-22
This is an insightful and holistic perspective on how our institutions and — more specifically — people tend to misunderstand people, and how this flaw has proven to be fatal time and time again.
For those who would like to observe the social science and context behind the unfortunate consequences of us misunderstanding one another and looking at how it affects all of us, this is absolutely a must-listen.
In addition, this audiobook is definitely the best experience I have had listening to a book, as well. From the author narrating the book, to the acting out of excerpts by other voice actors, it made it easier to immerse myself in the book.
