fantastic
Revisado: 08-29-22
a great chapter in the story of Crowl and Spinoza, tying together a number of disparate threads in a way both thrilling and satisfying.
also, a special bit of praise for including eldar in a way that really helps lessen the usual paucity of representation in truly good 40k fiction. here as antagonists they manage to feel powerful and alien, without being worfs or Mary sues.
A can't miss book from one of BL's best.

amazing book
Revisado: 04-12-21
an excellent story that really manages to both build out the world of thr Hunger games and spin its own compelling tale. the only criticism is that the refusal of the narrator to even half heartedly attempt to sing various songs can sometimes really strangle the moment, but still strongly advise as an excellent book.

Historia
As the Emperor travels the galaxy at the head of his Great Crusade, few events are as important as rediscovering his scattered sons, the Primarchs, and bestowing them as the masters of their Legions. United, a Legion becomes a reflection of its Primarch, both in his strengths and his flaws. For the Twelfth Legion, once the War Hounds and now the World Eaters, the line between strength and flaw is almost impossible to separate.

excellent book with typically excellent performances. As always with Wraight, the world and characters are beautifully drawn, pulling you into a story while also enriching the setting as a whole. well worth a listen to any 40k fans.
