Just when I thought I couldn’t love this book more… bam! Samantha and Connor come in and have me hooked from the start!

Laney has to leave her life behind to come to Fiasco. She needs to keep who she is a secret and lay low, but that proves difficult when she finds acceptance. Friendship. And a grumpy cowboy she can’t stop thinking about and who doesn’t stop thinking about her either.

I loved their meet cute and the tension. Connor is unsurprisingly perfect as Grant, in how mistrustful he is of her at first, how obsessed he becomes with her over time, in how he fantasizes about her. In how he wants to keep her safe. And I think he has single-handedly changed my mind about the “honey” pet name.
And Samantha… I swear, every time she called Grant “cowboy,” she had me grinning. When she said, “Not your honey, cowboy,” she embodied Laney’s strength and sass, and I seriously cannot think of anyone else who would be better for this role than her.

While staying at the ranch, Laney pushes all of Grant’s buttons without even trying. Their banter was top-notch. Their connection was even better. And when he starts romancing her by just being himself… Come on, Connor. That was not fair!
When the slow burn burns this hot, you know it’s going to be explosive. The bourbon scene. The kitchen scene when Laney shows she knows what she wants and “Drink up, honey.” Connor and Sam… I have no words.

I loved all the emotions that came through from them. How they shifted each other’s worlds upside down. How they both started really living when they first met. How they started trusting and loving each other—there was a sweetness there that sounded so good! And yes, duet was perfect because it pulled me in even more.

I need to mention the accents because I loved them so much. And, as always, how I could easily tell which character was talking, even though there are quite a few secondary characters in the book. Sheer talent, people.

Laney is one strong heroine, and that really shines through. And when her past catches up to her, Grant is there for her at every turn and unwilling to ever let her go, but she still saves herself. Just like Kathleen Turner (IYKYK).

Sweet and spicy, fun, and totally captivating with a hint of suspense… I loved this audiobook.

I knew this wasn’t going to be an easy story, but I went for it. In audiobook, because it's narrated by one of my favorite duos, Vanessa Vasquez and Noah B. Perez.
Three words: So. Worth. It.

When Logan’s best friend Sofia dies, she leaves custody of her three kids to her. Logan may not know how to take care of children, but Sofia knew she would love and protect them.

With Sofia’s parents set on causing trouble and fighting her at every turn, she finds an unlikely ally: Alvaro, Sofia’s older brother. Not only does he want to help, he even moves in with her to do it.

In their own way, they make up a family. It may be unexpected, but it’s beautiful nonetheless.

Vanessa does an amazing job at voicing Logan—the woman doing the best she can while dealing with her loss. And Noah excels as Alvaro, in how tortured he is, how tormented, how guilty… It felt very raw, and I loved every second of it.

Listening to Alvaro and Logan’s relationship blossom with the kids was everything. They make mistakes, and they learn together. More importantly—they heal together. Things from the past are brought to light, and it only makes their bond more meaningful.

Logan and Alvaro have chemistry in spades. Maybe they never saw each other that way, especially since he’s sixteen years older than her, but now that they find themselves in this situation, what they have is inescapable.

If you’ve never listened to these two narrators together, they are *so* good. They give you the hotness (OMG that shower scene!) while showing you all the feelings, all the tension, the tenderness, and the love that shines through.

Get ready for a slow burn because they take their time. Get ready for some mishaps in the meantime too. But most of all, get ready for forgiveness, found family, and real love. There’s nothing better than that.

Keepsake is an emotional story of heartbreak and happiness. Of loss and love. Of fighting for what you want, and getting it in the end.

Thank you, Noah and Vanessa. Absolutely perfect narration (as usual)!

If you've been following The Hometown Heartless, you've met Jonah. He's not in a good place, and his actions are affecting others, so Claire is hired to clean up his public image. To say it won't be easy is a gross understatement.

This was the perfect casting. Jason Clarke excels (as usual) as the grumpy, hurt, bent, and sometimes cruel Jonah. Mollie Stark (my first time listening to her) was the perfect Claire. Her strength, her doubts, and all her feelings shine through. They're fantastic together.

This isn't an easy audiobook. There's a lot of pain, regret, resentment, and mistakes that have been made that come through in Jason's and Mollie's voices.

Jonah and Claire shouldn’t work, but somehow they see each other. It's darkness calling to darkness. Or maybe darkness wishing to find its light. And you can't not root for them to find the happiness they deserve.

Their interactions are spiteful. Hurtful. As the tour goes on, they drive each other crazy in several ways, to a point where their chemistry and the emotions behind it are impossible to deny.
Both want to be wanted, cherished, and loved for who they are, and that fact is in every syllable of every word from these two narrators. It's heartbreaking sometimes, but that's what makes their HEA so sweet.

The characters are relatable in every imperfection, every misstep, in everything they (knowingly or not) do wrong. But what really got to me was their capacity to love. After everything. Despite everything. Because of everything.

Jason and Mollie's raw and heartfelt interpretation brought tears to my eyes, especially in the way they love and in those special little moments that make a story for me. They're flawless on their own and together.

It's more than wrath and a lot more than redemption. It's rising above. It's deserving. It's finally finding the one who will not let go.

After I read this book, I *knew* the audiobook was going to be amazing.
I was definitely not wrong! The friends to lovers aspect of their relationship really shone through in Erin and Sean’s voices, and I was hooked from the start.

Dani and Bridger have been friends all their lives. In fact, Bridger was Dani’s shelter from the storm growing up, and she always had a crush on him. Turns out so did he. The feeling was always there, but the timing was always off. But now that Dani is back in town, he won’t let her slip through his fingers again.

Erin was absolutely incredible as Dani. The strength she has after all she’s been through completely shines through in her voice. And Sean… He’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. In this case, the single dad who wants to give his daughter the world and the man who wants Dani. This role was made for him.

Bridger knows he needs to show Dani he’s serious about her in a way that goes beyond friendship and physical… even though the physical is pretty perfect. Both Erin and Sean flamed up my ear buds with every scene.
Since they were already friends, everything is seamless. Like a natural progression. Together, and with Birdie, they were hot, cute, sweet, and heartwarming. And the audio adds some extra feeling to it too.

Erin’s talent really shines through with Dani. Because while Bridger keeps asking her to use her words, shy Dani at the start of the book doesn’t want to. But the Dani at the end of the book is a confident woman and a real mama bear. It was a personal favorite to hear Dani’s character growth in Erin’s voice.

Sean gave me all the possessive hero vibes I (we all) know and love, but he gave me his vulnerability too. In his interactions with his kid, in the way he goes to bat for the people he loves, in the way he’s all in from the start, and in the way he communicates. And… the Chief moments. IYKYK.

Low-angst and with no third-act breakup, this was a swoony listen narrated by two super talented narrators who really knew how to bring out all the emotions.

I thought I had swooned enough over the book, but no. I was proven wrong by Mr. Christian Fox. And if I thought Pepper was strong in writing, I was not ready for Ms. Savannah Peachwood either.

Listening to this audiobook was a delight, and my romantic heart is very full!

Quarterback Clay Braden has been pining for Pepper for a while, but the workaholic scientist wants nothing to do with him, especially since his reputation as "Mr. Perfect" and a ladies’ man precedes him.

However, when they’re both in Paris for an event, he sees his chance. The things he says and does, along with his charm, make it impossible for her to resist him.
Christian Fox was perfect. The longing, the want, the need to be with this woman he sees as the only one who’s right for him… and especially his unwillingness to give up even when she does her best to try to keep him away were all there in his voice.

Pepper allows herself to let go and just be with him in Paris. I really loved her monologues and the should I or shouldn’t I. Her insecurities are understandable and relatable, as are her fears, and I loved how Savannah played her and how she was able to showcase the way she becomes more and more confident as time goes by, both in herself and in what they have.

Obviously, what happens in Paris doesn’t stay in Paris. And obviously, Clay is all in. Everything he does to show her she’s his girl… It’s right out of dreamland. She just has to allow herself to be loved.

The chemistry between them incinerated my earbuds. It was a real connection, with fun and flirty banter, some push and pull, intimate moments where secrets were exchanged in deep conversations, and a lot of sunrises that mean a lot with the right person.

More than just opposites attract, it was two people bringing out the best in each other.

A heartfelt story played by two incredibly talented narrators that will make you feel very single but also dream about meeting your own Mr. Perfect—one who’s perfect just for you, of course :)

Sometimes you just need a short, sweet novella to make your day brighter! And if you get to listen to it on the way to and from work, where stress is bound to hit you, well… even better!
Seaside Serenade absolutely came through for me.

Mutual pining? Yes, please.

Former boxer and gym owner Brock can’t keep his eyes off Cree. She’s everything he’s ever wanted, but she has a boyfriend and he’s not that guy, so he needs to stay away.
Cree? Well, she’s wanted Brock for as long as she can remember, but he doesn’t seem to be into her.
And… that supposed boyfriend is not a boyfriend at all! If you’re a Melissa fan, you’ll recognize the name Justin Wicked (yes, that Justin!).

There’s some flirting and innuendo and I loved it. When all the cards are on the table, and there’s nothing holding them back… Yep, it’s good. And there’s still time for that found family feeling I always get from Melissa’s books.

This was an absolute joy to listen to. Samantha Brentmoor is a favorite of mine, and this was my first time listening to Sean Masters—and I definitely want to hear more. Both narrators do a wonderful job of conveying all the feelings in an audiobook that is only about an hour long. Trust me, you’ll feel the want and the pining, and it’ll be more than enough for you to be rooting for them.

My only complaint? I wanted more, but that’s usually how it goes when something is good, isn’t it?

A swoony and sexy listen and a cute romance with no drama, only feels.

I loved reading the e-book when it came out but listening to it was the cherry on top. It’s romance, steam, sweetness, and sports, with a side of he falls first and banter that will keep you coming back for more.
Aiden and Dani are perfect together, and I loved them in Vanessa and Alex's voices.

Dani is everything I want to be and the BFF I want to have in my corner. I love her sass and confidence, and her vulnerability made her real. Vanessa was absolutely perfect showcasing every side of her.
Aiden is dirty-talking, alpha perfection with a side of heart. He’s self-confident, which makes it even better when he falls first. It’s hard not to fall in love with him, and from the hottest scenes to the most honest ones, Alex was incredible.

Aiden is a student, Dani is a photojournalist. They meet on campus, when she's there shooting some candids, and you better be ready for their meet-cute. I loved that Dani's wild side brought out Aiden's.
When they meet again, wow. I know everyone talks about Chapter 8, but did you hear that alley scene? When you listen to it, please let me know your favorite. For science?

This thing between them seamlessly progresses into friends with benefits. They’re perfect together, but neither of them wants more. Except Aiden starts to feel different. Still, he doesn’t push because he’ll take her any way he can have her.

Something happens, and the lines between them get blurry until they disappear. And that’s when I really fell for Aiden—and Alex. Because it was all there in his voice: the way he puts himself on the line for Dani and what he’s feeling.
While Dani takes a while to see what they have, when she does, when she fights for him—Vanessa, I fell in love with you too.
And that epilogue… O.M.G.

This is a story about loving someone and allowing them to complete you. I thought I couldn’t love it more. This audiobook proved me wrong.

This was my favorite book of Catherine’s so far, which resulted in an amazing audiobook. Not surprising. At. All.

Erin and Connor were perfect as Sutton and Cope.

Sutton is doing her best to raise her son, Luca. He wants to play hockey just like his idol, The Reaper. Well, The Reaper is none other than Copeland Colson, and he’s in town to coach the kids at summer hockey camp.
When he sees her dropping off Luca, it changes something in him.

Connor Crais is one of my favorites, and for a good reason. Cope is more than just a hockey player—he has a few demons and he recognizes Sutton as struggling. It’s all there in Connor’s voice: the way he admires her right from the start, the way he wants to be there and help. The longing.

Erin gave Sutton her strength. The one that comes from overcoming so much and wanting to stand on her own two feet. From wanting to be the best mom she can be. She also gave Sutton the vulnerability she needed to allow Cope in and the toughness to fight for him.

When she has nowhere to go, Cope comes to the rescue. Opening up his house to Sutton and Luca is a no-brainer. Especially since having them there means the house doesn’t feel so empty anymore. It feels like a home.

It takes them a while, but they are HOT. Is it better in audio? You bet! Desks and boxing bags and the penchant for destroying her underwear… These narrators are perfect.

They’re also perfect in all the feeling that surrounds this book. There’s guilt and grief, needing somewhere—someone—to belong to. There’s allowing someone to step in and help, to provide comfort, to lend their strength. There’s letting someone close enough to tear down your walls.
Hearing all of it? Too good to put into words.

You know there’s always a romantic suspense element and the whodunit adds to their story. It unites them further, turning what they have into a safe harbor from any storm.

I also need to mention the ability of portraying different characters because this is always something that amazes me when listening to a book. It shouldn’t. Not when the narrators are this talented, because… wow.

Finding someone who wants to stand by you, go to bat for you, and hold you when the world fails you while caring for your child just like he's theirs is not easy. Sutton and Cope found it. I was lucky enough to listen to it.

Christmas is always better with a Lauren Asher novella. Wait, that almost rhymes. Right?
Listening to it was the cherry on top. Vanessa Vasquez and Noah B. Perez are quickly becoming my go-to duet couple.

Catalina is back in Lake Wisteria for her sister’s wedding, where she’ll be the maid of honor. The best man? Well, that’s Luke. Dr. Darling, if you will. And while Cata doesn’t like him, he feels drawn to her. Every time she snaps at him or gives him sarcasm, he loves it more. And it was hard to keep the smile from my face at that.

Vanessa has all the sass of a very independent, knows-what-she-wants Catalina while showing both her incredible strength and her most vulnerable side—the one she likes to keep hidden. The one Luke sees.
And Noah… Luke is the perfect acts-of-service guy, and Noah became him. Even as I was eyeball-reading it, I could hear his voice in my head. You want someone who can give you he-falls-first vibes with just the tone of his voice? That’s Noah.

Against all odds, they become closer. He starts tearing out her walls with some coffee, advice on her maid of honor speech, and just… being there. Not because he has to, but because he wants to. Because he wants her. If only she lets him in.

This audio had me all up in my feels with the jokes and sarcasm that hide feelings and more feelings. I loved listening as they became friends, listening to Noah as Luke tries (and fails) to stay away and to Vanessa wondering what to do when Cata is unsure herself.

What really got to me was how he never gave up. She pushed him away and he kept coming back. She saw herself as undeserving and cold and he showed her she wasn’t, just as he showed her he’d wait for her.

The small details, the nostalgia, the Christmas spirit, the feelings, the love and the—yes—magic were there in Noah and Vanessa’s voices. I could listen to them and this novella all day.
Because Christmas is a sad time for me, and they made me believe in that magic. I’ll always be grateful for that.

Amazing book, incredible narration.

A short audiobook to get you in the holiday spirit.

Cassie is off to Hawaii for the holidays, but her flight gets canceled due to snow. Stuck in Denver with hotels fully booked, the airport bartender tells her she can stay at her nan’s B&B. Not exactly what she had in mind, but it’ll have to do.
After the exams, Nolan is back home. In this case, home is his mom’s house—the same B&B where Cassie is staying.
There’s an instant attraction and lots of chemistry, so we know where this is going.

Read by Alexis Paige and Grayson Owens, it was my first time listening to either of them. I loved Cassie’s sweetness and how flustered she got at Nolan’s proximity, and that came out amazingly in Alexis’s voice.
Grayson was perfect at showing how gone Nolan is for Cassie. While the physical is great, he wants to laugh with her, spend time with her, and mostly, he wants her not to leave for Hawaii once the weather clears.

The Christmas vibes—and Nan!—were everything. I loved his family and how they welcomed Cassie into the fold because she never had one like theirs. I can relate.

For reasons I won’t spoil, she goes to Hawaii and they get separated. But Nolan inspired Cassie to go for what she wants, and you can hear the shift in Alexis’s voice. I was enthralled with how Grayson handled Nolan when he got Cassie back. His feelings and how he never forgot her were there, and I’m a sucker for that.

The epilogue was perfect.
“Shuffle the deck” is now one of my favorite sayings. Whatever cards life gives you, make sure to keep shuffling. Who knows what the next hand will bring?
