Awesome litrpg story.
Revisado: 01-20-25
It’s an epic world shattering lit RPG adventure. The fact that the first three books are included in this bundle makes it an amazing bargain and a great introduction to this story. I am hooked. Purchasing book four now.

Historia
The time is 1933, the place, Berlin, when William E. Dodd becomes America’s first ambassador to Hitler’s Germany in a year that proved to be a turning point in history. A mild-mannered professor from Chicago, Dodd brings along his wife, son, and flamboyant daughter, Martha. At first Martha is entranced by the parties and pomp, and the handsome young men of the Third Reich with their infectious enthusiasm for restoring Germany to a position of world prominence. Enamored of the “New Germany,” she has one affair after another....

A chilling prescient account of the rise of fascism.
Revisado: 07-12-24
Erik Larson again delivers a magnificent historical piece. That he wrote this in 2011, long before the threat of American fascism was on the rise, makes it all the more disturbing. The author proves once again that history is essential to a modern understanding of current events. The book details, the early days of Nazism, and documents, how little our government and the average German could or would do about the horrors inflicted by the German state. This book is essential reading for the 2024 political hellscape we live in now.

Big fan of the graphic novels. This really recreates it wonderfully! I could see the frames in my minds eye!

A little short. But powerful.

That’s kinda the point though. The narrator took some getting used to. I was left hungry for more by the end.

Too short for the price
Revisado: 11-30-17
This is more like a podcast than an audiobook. Save your money. The performances are good, but it’s like an hour radio drama.

Too short
- De Eric en 11-21-16
Great production value. Shorter than a podcast.
Revisado: 11-29-17
Each of these is the cost of a whole credit. The whole series is one hour episodes with LONG bumpers of music. I feel like one credit for all 6 would have been a more fair price.
A rip off. For a severely abridged radio drama of a fantastic story.
