Boring Read
Revisado: 11-12-18
It is boring and awful. I have read half of the book. It got so bad that I had to fast forward through most of it. Just watch the movie instead.

One thing I didn’t like was the big focus on religion and Gender Fluidity. The book was slow to start and not as good as the first book in the series.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Awesome story
Revisado: 01-30-11
Just from looking at the title the book did not seem interesting at all. I promised my students that I would read the book and share my discovery with them. First, I read numerous reviews and became discouraged. One reader mentioned something about sexual abuse and naked boys. I don't know what he was reading, all I know is that it wasn't Ender's Game. There is one scene in the book where a Ender was taking a shower after war games. His team had won the games where the odds were against him. Ender and his team had to battle to military teams at once. While he was in the shower a boy who led another team comes in to fight him. Ender beats the boy and leaves him bleeding on the floor in the shower. The only part I didn't like is how the children were taken from their parents as toddlers. The military wanted to see if they would be intelligent enough to fight against the Buggers. If they were rejected, they were returned to their parents to live a normal life. If they were considered a genius, they were sent to military school to be trained to fight in the war against the Buggers.

The Dark Series
Revisado: 12-30-10
I started reading the Dark Series because it was recommended by a friend. I downloaded books 1-4 and have listened to them. I was given books 5-10 in hard copies to read. The plot in books 1-4 are exactly the same and nothing new was introduced. First, there are Carpathian Males that are seeking life mates. Second, they find American females with telepathic abilities. Third, the women have people that are chasing after them with the intentions of killing them. Fourth, the males bind the women to them without the woman's knowledge or consent. Fifth, the woman finds out when it's too late and the male refuses to allow them to leave. The Carpathian uses his magical abilities to force them to stay. Sex is used as a weapon to keep them in place. Lastly, the Carpathian males enemy comes after them and there is a battle. So far the plot has not changed at all. I started reading book 5 in the series and the plot is the same so far. Each time I started a new book in the series the action in the story was very predictable. The only thing that changed in each book so far has been the names of the main characters.

Brutal Horrific Story
Revisado: 05-23-10
I started listening to this audiobook 2 days ago. First, the novel starts out with a very brutal and horrific murder. The author describes this in graphic details. Then, a second brutal murder. Next, there is a horrific rape scene. A 17 year old girl is given estasy at a club. She is made to take off her clothes. The owner rapes her, and then leaves her for his male employees to take turns with. While this is taking place it is being recorded and broadcasted all over the internet. I myself found it to be difficult to get past the scene. I and I have not yet finished the book.

The next in the hot, new series featuring Max Holt and Jamie Swift, filled with even more fast-paced action, crazy characters, steamy sex, suspense, and nonstop hilarity. This time Beaumont, South Carolina, is going to hell in a handbasket. It all starts when Jamie decides to increase revenues for her newspaper by starting a personal ads section. Suddenly, the town gets "all sexed up." A trashy lingerie shop opens. The bakery starts making pornographic pastries. Everyone gets the idea that sex sells.

Great book!
Revisado: 04-29-08
I have read all of the Stephanie Plum series and they are very good books. This is the first time I have read a different story by Janet. The characters Max-a-Million Holt and Jamie Swift are quite the couple. Although this story was not as funny as the Stephanie Plum stories, it is a very good story. There are parts that are very funny in the story. I hope that Janet will publish more books in this series. There are six currently: Full Scoop, Full tilt, Full blast, Full house, Full Speed, and Full Bloom. I have read all six books. The only difference I noticed is that Max is a character in all six books. Jamie and Vera are characters in five of the books. Otherwise there are different characters in each book.

Revisado: 04-29-08
I am new to reading Stephen King books. Duma Key is the fourth book of his that I have read. I must say this is a excellent book. Once I started the book I just couldn't stop. I recommend this book to everyone. I especially like the setting of the story. It begins as beautiful beach Duma Key, and then things change. You will not be disappointed with this book.
