Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

READERS BEWARE!!!!
Revisado: 01-03-25
I returned this book with about 10 hours remaining! And this after being a huge fan of Sanderson (introduction being his contribution to TWOT) I think anyone deeply familiar with his work would be upset by the woke agenda he blatantly poured into this volume! In fact, the further you get into this book, the more prevalent the message is...we're not talking about anything subtle here...It was completely unnecessary and distracting to the point that I couldn't stay interested. If you doubt me, check out how many others have shared the same frustration. I'm so disappointed that he did this that, if I could, I would return all the Sanderson books in my library (which includes most everything published on audible). Anyway, I won't be reading, re reading, or recommending any original Sanderson work again.

Normal thinking leads to normal results. For exceptional results, traders must think differently. This book will guide and inspire you in ways no other trading book has. It is not about strategies and money management. It is about mind management. Tom Hougaard provides a unique and refreshingly personal account of how an ordinary trader elevated his game to incredible heights by focusing as much on his mental approach as on his technical analysis. Best Loser Wins explains how you, by thinking differently when you are trading, can elevate your game from mediocre to excellent.

A very different approach to growing your trading skills. Would pair nicely with “Trading in the Zone” by Mark Douglas.

Not nearly as good as the first installment.
Revisado: 06-30-24
I was really disappointed…the story felt disjointed and lacked a purposeful direction. It didn’t read anything like the first book which has a linear progression and strong story arc. It did have decent character development tho…but honestly, I struggled to get through it 😣 (and this after amassing an audible library over 350 strong strictly made up of fantasy and sci-fi books.) I love these types of books! And, I’d count “The Black Tongued Thief” as one that belongs in any library like mine, bc it’s a great start to a longer grim dark story. As grim as this story was, it was in all the wrong ways. Apart from talking about Corvids and Goblin Wars, I can’t for the life of me tell you how the first and second book are cohesive. Hope this helps someone to make a better informed decision I made when I excitedly pre ordered it.

For over 30 years, Dominion of Blades has been the hottest online role-playing game in the world. But the game is too real for some, and after an epidemic of real-life fatalities, public use of the immersion technology has been banned. Jonah wakes to find himself in-game, level one, with no memory of how he arrived and no way to eject. With only two companions, trapped in a world that once hosted millions, Jonah must battle his way across a treacherous landscape, fighting virtual monsters, all too real pain, and a very human enemy.

I’ve listened to all the books available on audible that are written by mat Dinaman and all books apart from DCC have been average at best. Hear me when I say this, I love DDC and was really excited to read more from this author….HUGE letdown! And not worth the credit unfortunately.

This is a unique book about money management and growing wealth by how it reads like a story rather than the stuffy format of 99% of all other books like it in content. I have read many books within this genre and find that it easily has a place on my top ten list! Well worth the credit or out of pocket cost!

A really cool take on LitRPG!
Revisado: 06-19-23
What I really liked most about this series so far is that it’s not your standard LitRPG where the characters are stuck in a video game but instead, ties back into the original role playing games like D&D. Also, without giving anything away up to this point in the series, it’s a cool concept to have a link to the modern world that the story revolves around within the fantasy world. Nicely done Drew! A refreshing take on LitRPG to make me a very satisfied reader!

What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.
