Good story great narration
Revisado: 01-01-22
Good story. It needs more character development. it would have been nice to see things from another character's perspective like in his other legacy books.

Historia
Polgara is the epic culmination of a magnificent saga, and a fitting farewell to a world which, once experienced, will never be forgotten.
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for three thousand years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles.

The story is good but
Revisado: 10-08-19
The story was good but the narrator was terrible. The pronunciation of so many names of people, places, and nations was different. It distracted from the story. Many of the voices for the characters were nasally and or whining. It made it hard to listen to the story. So bad that I considered stopping and returning the book a couple of times.

Slow start, but finishes well
Revisado: 01-01-18
Slow start. Magic system is very complex. It was hard to follow what was happening and why. Almost retyrned it twice. stuck with it and end with liking it. A little rough start to a possibly good story. I liked the end. I will try book 2

Hilarious.
Revisado: 01-07-17
Great story with a nice mix of misunderstood cliche and lots of puns. I have all the books, but the narrator does a great job of bringing the characters to life.

Historia
Centuries ago the human race fought its first great war against an alien race - and lost. A tiny population of human beings fled to distant Safehold. Centuries later their descendants have forgotten their history; for them, life has been an eternal Middle Ages, ruled by the Church of God Awaiting, whose secret purpose is to prevent the reemergence of industrial civilization. But not all of Safehold's founders were onboard with this plan. Those dissidents left behind their own secret legacies.

Historia
Once the Church of God Awaiting dominated all the kingdoms of Safehold. Then, after centuries of stasis, the island kingdom of Charis began to defy the edicts of Mother Church—egged on, some say, by the mysterious warrior-monk Merlin Athrawes, who enjoys the Charisian royal family's absolute trust. What vanishingly few people know is that Merlin is the cybernetic avatar of a young woman a thousand years dead, felled in the war in which aliens destroyed Earth...and that since awakening, his task has been to restart the history of the long-hidden human race.

Good story
Revisado: 12-12-14
Kept my interest. Has some good plot twists. It's beginning to get a little fragmented with all the characters he is following.
