Historia
Miss Marple meets Oscar Wilde in this new series of cosy mysteries set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Bunburry. Here, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. This compilation contains episodes 7-9. "Sweet Revenge." Alfie is back in London - but even a wild social whirl with his best friend Oscar can't disguise the fact that he misses Bunburry. And then a cry for help reaches him - Liz and Marge are in trouble, and Alfie races back.

I have fell in love with these books
Revisado: 08-31-23
Each character is relevant and brings something important. I love a good mystery comedy and this hits that spot on. Great books….. I am off for the next one 🙂

Historia
Stocking stuffers like handknit scarves make the coziest of Christmas gifts—unless they're used as accessories for murder! When grinchy thefts steal the good cheer at a local nursing home, Siobhan O'Sullivan manages to identify one missing item before the tractor parade—a hideous shamrock scarf wrapped around a very dead body. The festivities go cold at Pans 'N' Pancakes the instant a diner dies while knitting a brilliant green scarf. Suspects pile up when frosty-tempered Carys Walnutt is found strangled by a handmade scarf auctioned at Arborville's tree-lighting ceremony.

I struggled to make it through.
Revisado: 02-13-23
I love officer Siobhan and her mysteries. Been following before she became an officer. But this new reader was off putting. Some of the words and the way the regular characters spoke was like someone trying to imitate a good friend. However I loved the storyline as I usually do Carlene O’Connor so that why I pushed through. The last book Death By Christmas Scarf was more about what this person and her friend did, dressed and ate during the Christmas holiday in great painfully precise detail. I mean to me it was exhausting. I know more about each course of the Christmas meal than I had excitement with her actually sleuthing. It was boring and I lost interest wondering if I was in a mystery book or just a short story about Christmas where a murder happened and the lady stumbled across a clue that mysteriously solved the murder. If that’s what you are here for this is not the book for you.

stupid story about a wedding planner scared to get married to her perfect boyfriend. all of her friends are perfect. she has imaginary problems and is a bit snooty even to her friends... a friend did a reno and her comment/thought was it looked the same just painted a different colour... really after all of the talk and a party about this reno...?? why even mention it in the book. it makes no sense, no connection, it only cast the main character in a negative light to me... but thats just me.

Historia
In the small village of Kilbane, County Cork, Ireland, Natalie's Bistro has always been warm and welcoming. Nowadays twenty-two-year-old Siobhan O'Sullivan runs the family bistro named for her mother, along with her five siblings, after the death of their parents in a car crash almost a year ago. It's been a rough year for the O'Sullivans, but it's about to get rougher.

I really wanted to love it but I don't know..
Revisado: 06-17-17
The overall story was good but there was a lot of repetition. The main character ran around the village accusing everyone outright of murder... i wanted her to be more smart/clever to find out things without all of the confrontation... She is in a central spot at her bistro so she could have made some better observations. Maybe she could have had a few close calls etc. but by the middle of the book she just seemed like a crazy person grasping at straws and only found the killer almost by mistake. It is the first book amd i reallllly want to like it but I don't know.......

Really??
Revisado: 04-30-17
I have listened to all of the books in this series so far and this one is so very disappointing. I am not even done with it yet because it is such a struggle to hear it! I got into this for the mystery but there is so much filler of nothing to do with thr story itself. There is chapter after chapter of listening to Penny's apprehension to getting married and eating "the best vegatables of the season" at her t'aunt's home. I mean gee have you been there all season to know that these were "the best of the season"? I don't care what you had for breakfast or to know what each course in a meal was and what wine it was paired with if it has nothing to do with the story! All of this, and Penny is just now finding out what the situation/mystery is for this episode. I have been listening very long and I dont know what chapter I am on I have been so disengaged this book has not held my attention at all. Yes we know you are rich, yes we know the Rivera is beautiful, yes we know that French food tastes great or any of the endless adjectives used to describe it! I don't know if I will buy the next book in this series. I am disappointed as I expected more action as in the others.

Revisado: 01-19-15
I happened to stumble on this series and actually started with book 8. I love love love it. After listening to the 1st book, i went back and purchased book 1 and now I am here at book 6 and enjoying it. It's like a mature Nancy D. but better. It's funny, lively (which i did not expect from a book with a old english 1930s setting), keeps you guessing and full of suspense. The narrator is awesome. She has the ability to change her voice for each character and not sound phony or put on even for male characters. I can tell Georgi's voice from Belinda's, HM and so on. Even my husband wants me to put it on speaker so he can listen and when he can't, he wants me to tell him what is happening lol. Great entertainment. You will not be disappointed.
