Title says it all
Revisado: 01-31-25
Found this book by complete chance and glad I did as I started 2025 wanting to improve my relationship with alcohol by starting with dry January. On the second day this book popped up while scrolling through the audible homepage. After reading the summary, I thought I’d give it a go as it wasn’t about quitting but rather improving and well going on your own journey. Every day during January on my daily walk I listened. Some of the affirmations were very fought provoking while others I took with a grain of salt as some stuff I do already so I imagine everybody will be different. I enjoyed this book due to the fact it was about improving your overall outlook which intern improves your relationship with alcohol. It was meant to be read at this point in time. Although I’d like to sit down with someone and debate a couple of these affirmations, I overall recommend it to read over the span of a month. Dry January successfully completed and I feel great. Thank you Holly Whitaker for being a part of the journey.

Just disappointed.
Revisado: 06-02-21
Well, it had a good plot summary and was reasonably enjoyable to read but honestly, was just disappointed by the ending. It was very anticlimactic so if you are thinking of reading this by all means but prepared to be disappointed

Pay attention, narrator is actually good
Revisado: 08-28-20
If not for several negative reviews against the narrator, I wouldn’t have thought anything of it. If you paid attention to the character of President snow in the hunger games series and also the movie adaptations, you would notice that his tone is very bland and tired sounding which in my opinion the narrator portrayed very well throughout this book. No, he doesn’t attempt to sing the lyrics in the book but again if you pay attention, snow doesn’t like music so perhaps it suggests why no effort was made. I personally think he done a really good job. As for the book itself, surprisingly enjoyed it even though some of the reviews were negative and the book being a prequel. It was like reading a behind-the-scenes look at how the hunger games came to be

The perfect neverending story.
Revisado: 05-15-18
Every time i pick up another book in the series, i wonder if it could possibly be as good as the previous and every time since the first i am always pleasantly surprised. I am so glad i gave it a chance otherwise id be missing out.
On this occasion, i sadly had this read in a day as i was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time wondering what was coming next. What i truly like about each book is how they have their own stories and always wraps up nicely by the end while leaving you a taste of what could follow.
Is there and end? Hope not.

Holy hell - litterally
Revisado: 08-09-17
After being wowed over and over by the immortal instruments and the infurno devices, how is it possible to reach even further? Through Cassandra Claire's brilliance, she has managed to not only pull off 3 amazing series but strategically bring this world to it's knees using all storielines as her guide to keep them all conected. The amazing thing about all books, is they never feel rushed as if the writer is in a hurry to get to the end. She lets her characters development into themselves creating remarkable and beautiful characters you come to love or hate. . Lord of shadows is no exception and once again am still in awe and can't wait for what Cassandra has in store for the shadow hunters next given this shocking ending in preperation for the next.. Just when you think, there may be respite, a happy ending, she catches you off guard which is part of what a truly talented author can do. If you're into a quick and catchy book, this is not for yu but if you have the patience to let this world in, you will not be disappointed. As for what's coming...I'm not even gonna try guess but know it will be yet another masterpiece.

What happened after she stayed?
Revisado: 03-21-16
Wow! From start to finish, totally drawn in and wow. Not only is the narration perfect but the story too. Intense, emotional and somehow riverting with beautiful simplicity. In the way this sequel is written, you experience everything from being in a new york diner to adams greif. I finished if i stay with all these unanswered questions and now have closure and can let it go. A must read sequel.

Series of the year!
Revisado: 09-15-14
I’ve Been reading Cassandra Claire since April and wow. Whatn a epic extraordinary and amazing world. Never read anything like it before and am sadly disappointed to have just finished the very last book. Hopefully by now You’ve read the inferno dvices and first two books of the immortal instruments. If you’re stopping to check out reviews, it means your curious which also means you’ve been taken in by the shadow world and will probably love city of glass. And if you love city of glass then keep going. I wasn’t sure about city of Fallen Angels but like all the rest, yip taken in and no way disappointed. Gets better and better. This is some seriously good writing and I have no idea what I’m going to read after this. Anything else will be a let down.

Remarkably beautiful and bbitter sweet.
Revisado: 09-15-14
Anything I write does not do justice to the months spent reading the world Cassandra has created through the inferno devices and Immortal instruments. I never knew what to expect when pressing the play button on Clockwork Angel and again for City of Bones. Completely blown away and pleasantly surprised each time. A huge bar has been set and it’ll be difficult to find a new series that can measure up. I’ll miss the Harendales, Lightwoods, Fairchilds, Simon and Magness plus the many who played a part in such an stunning read…, well definitely not Sebastian. That dude creeps me out and gave me nightmares. For every truly good comes the deeply evil. It’s kinda sad and bitter sweet to say goodbye. Goes to show how great of an author Cassandra is to create such characters yu come to love, hate and be irritated by. I laughed, cried, nearly punched the player and cheered over and over. Brilliant night time reading! Looking forwad to Emma’s story in the upcoming series The Dark Artifices. Yeah!!!

Yes but don't read yet!
Revisado: 08-05-14
If you’re skimming reviews to decide if this series is for you, you’re at the right spot. Yes this series is worth reading but read clock work Angel, inferno devices series first. If not for that series, I’m not sure I would have enjoyed the Mortal instruments series as much. I looked at this and wasn’t overly interested but after finishing The Infurno Devices was obliged to pick this up to answer some questions the other series left me with. How are Will and Jace related if they are at all? About to read city of glass book 3 and so far no regrets. Well used creds. It’s been a few months of entertaining listening and lots of good nights rest falling asleep to the adventures of Shadow Hunters and the downworld.
