Historia
Cherringham is devastated. Otto Brendl, the likeable old man who had hosted the classic Punch-and-Judy show for the kids each summer, died suddenly of a heart attack. But while the memorial service is being planned, Jack becomes suspicious that Otto wasn't just the friendly man next door. Maybe there's more behind the heart attack? Soon Jack and Sarah are on the trail of a particularly sinister murderer - and together they will find that there's not only one kind of justice.

Historia
The charming village of Llanfair, the setting for Rhys Bowen's beloved Constable Evans mysteries, sits amid lush, rolling Welsh meadows populated with quaint cottages and is considered by many of its colorful locals to be a kind of paradise. Unfortunately, there aren't many opportunities for young people in Llanfair, so when an exciting and glamorous American woman breezes into town talking of dormant psychic powers and important social research, barmaid Betsy Edwards is quick to take her up on an offer of employment at the recently opened Sacred Grove New Age center not far away.

I enjoyed the story. It was predictable but still liked it. Enjoyed the Australian setting and reader. Also like books that are not too long as I have limited time

Historia
Margaret Thatcher was a British stateswoman and the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. From 1975 to 1990, she was the Leader of the Conservative Party. She was elected Prime Minister three times and served for 11 years, longer than any other British prime minister of the 20th century. Her political views, based on loose economics and individual self-realization, along with her policies, were referred to as Thatcherism, which for decades remained an influential political concept in the United Kingdom.

Good quick concise information
Revisado: 07-04-20
This 30-minute book provided me with the basics I wanted to hear about BP Margaret Thatcher. However, I did not care for the delivery via Mr. Diehl. His clipped delivery made me feel like he really did not like her very much, as opposed to just giving the information about her. I don't know if that was intended or not, but it came across that way. Don't think it's appropriate in such a book. I will look for his name as the narrator in future books, as I will avoid them. Sorry, Gregory Diehl, but I'm going to avoid your voice. Other than that, I like the idea of Mr. West's 30 minute books about various subjects or people. It gives me an idea of what I might further research about that person or subject.

I love the Cherringham series. Short entertaining books. Both Brit and Yank references. Great expressive British voice from Neil Dudgeon (Barnaby from Midsomer Murders). Quite enjoyable!

Love Cherringham series
Revisado: 04-15-20
If you are or were a tv fan of the British series midsummer murders, you will enjoy these crime stories narrated by Neil Dudgeon, the 2nd inspector Barnaby. While not the same characters, They have a similar tone -a mystery in a village that is described well and you can picture in your mind. Nothing terribly gory, your kids won’t be scared to listen. Each book is a set of at least 3 stories so you can listen to them while doing a task or commuting
I quite enjoy them!
