Historia
In the fourth installment of The Dark Tower, Roland and his band have narrowly escaped the city of Lud and boarded Blaine, a train that will take them to, of all places, Kansas, where the ghost city of Topeka has been depopulated by a superflu and where, alongside Interstate 70, an emerald palace rises enchantingly. Before Roland and the companions of his ka-tet continue along the Path of the Beam, Roland must tell his companions the tale that defines him both as a man and hero.

A true addiction of mine.
Revisado: 02-20-18
This is my 3rd time, listening to The Dark Tower series!
I'm a life long fan of King. Some of his books leave you wondering-"What the Hell?". I'm left with more questions than answers, but the Dark Tower series as a whole gives you most of the answers you were looking for; in previous novels. Every time I listen to this series, I find more and more of the answers I was looking for. Wizard and Glass has to be 1 of my top 10 all time favorite books. Most of his novels are masterpieces, but The Dark Tower series goes so much beyond that. They are truly a set of genius novels. If you haven't read them yet, do yourself a favor and enrich your life by doing so!

Historia
Eerie, dreamlike, set in a world that is weirdly related to our own, The Gunslinger introduces Roland Deschain of Gilead, of In-World that was, as he pursues his enigmatic antagonist to the mountains that separate the desert from the Western Sea in the first volume of The Dark Tower series. Roland, the last gunslinger, is a solitary figure, perhaps accursed, who with a strange single-mindedness traverses an exhausted, almost timeless landscape of good and evil.

Your life is incomplete without these books!
Revisado: 12-15-17
I have read and listened to the Dark Tower series, more times than I can count! I have always been a huge Stephen King fan. These books connect the dots, to all of his other novels. There are so many of his books that leaves you puzzled and confused, at the end. The Dark Tower series connects all of the dots, and gives you the answers to those long awaited questions you have been looking for. There is no doubt that King has pored every bit of his heart and soul into these novels.

A world that continues to suck me in, and not let go. With each book I get to know the characters on a personal level. It truly shows the struggle between the good and evil, that lives with in all of man kind. As well as the length we would go to for preservation and survival!

Historia
Survival in Man’s Second Dark Age...Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in nearly-medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning...The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures that threaten to destroy the townships.

All answers revealed!
Revisado: 11-23-12
What did you love best about The Rise of Endymion?
How it took the story of the cantos and made you feel, you were thinking too small. There is so much more going on beneath the surface. It truly expands the mind to think outside the box and contemplate the workings of the universe.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Rise of Endymion?
Raul's realization of A Betic as the observer!
Which character – as performed by Victor Bevine – was your favorite?
Definitely Raul. He tries so hard to be the protector and feels so helpless and unimportant. When it all comes down to it, it was really all about him and Ania's preparation for him to lead in a lost new universe.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Raul finally realizes that he is truly the only man in Ania's life. And he will soon have a child to look over and guide through the changing universe.

You only thought you knew the story!
Revisado: 11-23-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Endymion to be better than the print version?
Most definitely. I read the books years ago and the audio books helps shed new light on the story.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Endymion?
When the shrike fights Rhadamanth Nemis. A battle of epic proportions.
What does Victor Bevine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He has a way of keeping your attention. There are some parts of the book I would almost skip over, because of the long windedness of some of the more important parts of the story. He really narrates with such enthusiasm that demands your full attention.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Ania's connection to the father captain and how it changes his whole outlook toward the church.

A perfect sequel to Hyperion. You can't ask for a better follow up!

The speech between Uman, Keets, and Lamia. It really opens up the true depth of the story and bends your mind to a new way of thought.
What does Victor Bevine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He does a great job of bringing each character to life and really helps to keep you inline on who's who.
