Historia
New York, 2061: The place called the Pleasure Academy is a living nightmare where abducted girls are trapped, trained for a life of abject service while their souls are slowly but surely destroyed. Dorian, a thirteen-year-old runaway who’d been imprisoned there, might never have made it out if not for her fellow inmate Mina, who’d hatched the escape plan. Mina was the more daring of the two—but they’d been equally desperate.

Historia
The second in a new trilogy that extends the Dollanganger Family series that began with Flowers in the Attic. Picking up where Beneath the Attic left off, Out of the Attic goes back two generations before Corrine Foxworth locked her children in the attic. See how the twisted, beloved Dollanganger legend came to be. With five new Lifetime movies (beginning with Heaven) and the 40th-anniversary celebration of Flowers in the Attic, there has never been a better time to experience V.C. Andrews and the peculiar darkness of the human heart.

Historia
Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

Thank you. I enjoy learning the history of objects. I had a 3rd degree burn by coffee in 3rd grade and 40 years later I still have the scar. I personally don't like to prepare or transfer the stuff. Working in a restaurant and having a thoroughly addictive truck driving husband I can't totally avoid it though. My caffeine preference is Pepsi. I can easily drink 8 cans a day which is why I switched to a substandard diet variety but whatcha going to do if your trying to loose weight. Give up the heart pounding, mind alertness, get stuff done juice, um ideally I suppose, but no.
