I’ve listened to 2/3 of this book and I’m returning it because NOTHING has happened. NOTHING. The narration is jarring as well. I cannot waste any more of my life on this snooze fest. If you’re looking for a book to put you to sleep this is the one!

I had to stop listening at Chapter 14 because it’s so depressing, the only thing which would have made it bearable, perhaps even good, would be if the author had correctly portrayed God, instead of the this New Age nonsense. If you’re going to write a book which heavily revolves around ‘faith’ you ought to make sure your theology is correct. Also, the narrator is hard to listen to. A female reading this would have been more emotive.

This book is written for non believers and believers alike. Listening to a Shiela Walsh book feels like sitting down with a cup of tea (or coffee) with a wise, old friend. I love how Shiela interweaves her story with her own personal revelations and Scripture. If you have any questions about heaven this is well worth a listen.

Why are all the women in this unbearable, unlikeable and quite frankly pathetic? By the time I got to the end I no longer cared because I wouldn’t have cared if they’d killed them all off! Dani’s voice in this is unbearable.

I’ve listened to quite a few Shalini Boland books but this one is by far my favorite. Not too many characters so it was easier to follow. The twists and the ending were unexpected but believable knowing intimately how a toxic family operates, unfortunately. Trust me, you want to listen to this already!
