Would you consider the audio edition of Sweet Destiny to be better than the print version?

HAVE NOT READ THE PRINTED VERSION, SO I CANNOT SAY WHETHER OR NOT THE AUDIO WAS BETTER.

What did you like best about this story?

I LIKED THAT THE STORY WENT A LONG AT A NICE PACE. IT WAS NOT RUSHED AND IT WAS NOT SHORT.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME HEARING CORY ALLEN. IT WAS A NICE CHANGE OF PACE HEARING A MALE VOICE.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

THIS BOOK HAD ME LAUGHING OUT LOUD AND CRYING AT CERTAIN SECENES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE GRANDMOTHER WAS PREDICTING HIS FUTURE AND HE DID NOT LIKE IT.

What made the experience of listening to Lessons From a Younger Lover the most enjoyable?

I have a copy of the book, so it was just nice to read a long while someone read to me.

What other book might you compare Lessons From a Younger Lover to and why?

Player's Ultimatum by Koko Brown, because the knowledge that these men pursued someone older and the age of their love interest did not matter one iota to them.

What does Myra Lucretia Taylor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The way the story was written, you would not have known that he was a much younger lover because of Ransom's maturity. I like how he took it kinda slow with Gwen and how he was almost wooing her. I also loved the many surpise twists and turns of the book. Great read.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Some lessons are learned best when you have the right man for the job.

I really have enjoyed this book, that is the reason why I got it also in the audible edition. Because I wanted to enjoy it while I am riding along, and someone else is doing the driving.And Ransom sounds HOT!

Meaningful Invested Moments

What was one of the most memorable moments of Love in Play?

When Dominique wanted to apolgize to her son and Jake, for not allowing her son to go on the football trip with Jake. When Jake first offered she took it the wrong way. And if you have a pre teen or a teenager, then you know what that is like. I really liked the way she handled the apologies to both males in her life.

Have you listened to any of Shari Peele’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. First time listening to her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was moved by the way Dominique felt about investing her time and her son's time with another man who may hurt them and trying to keep her and Jake's relationship from becoming something serious, because she had been hurt before.

Any additional comments?

This book did not let me down. First audible I have had with out the actual book in my hand. So at times it was a challenge to sis still and actually listen. The narrator did not disapoint. She made it eady to hear through her voice which character was speaking. I would recommend this book. Zuri Day is awesome. Thank you for remembering the thick girls fall in love too.
