Disjointed story line and narration made it difficult to get into the book

I liked the first two books in this series and had no doubts about listening to the third book. The FMC read like an immature girl and made her ownership and intro of kink to the MMC not realistic and not very palatable or sexy. I can not recommend this book the first two books had characters that were believable and a plausible story. This one had neither

The story could not hold my interest. There was no rise and fall but rather one long note. Though the narrators have been good elsewhere they were not good here. Most of the narration was by the female POV and her male voice impressions were not tolerable to the ear after a couple of hours. Mr Crais had little time on tape and his Irish accent was monotone and lack luster though I have loved his voice in other books. No heat no spice either

Not good despite Jason Clarke

This was unfortunate. The female narrator detracted from the story so much. The dialogue was good most of the time but the narration made it so melodramatic much of the listen became laughable. The voices for the child was grating to the point of checking how many chapters were left. It was slow and sophomoric. I seriously suggest you choose something else. I love Jason Clarke’s talent 100% but still I am going to attempt to get a refund. It was that bad of a story

This did not work well on any level

For the weighty themes the story was built on and worthy of it’s trigger warnings,the writing, the dialogue, and even the sexual “spice” was unpalatable because of the superficial and bland characters. Good narrators could not rescue this one. I highly do NOT recommend this listen at all

Too disappointed

I found some intriguing depth in some of the writing about relationships and feelings and all that is navigated between two people who are attracted to each other. But, and a big one for me, Shane cannot and should not ever again read a woman’s part
He is so wonderful interpreting a man’s point of view and then just falls off into some real whiney one dimensional narration for the woman. It was off putting. So anything sensual and sexual
portrayed was awful instead of enticing I endured the read and was feeling mislead by the high ratings. This is why I contribute now. Do not read. There is so much better out there

Disappointing

I would not recommend buying this one. The listening experience was boring and then just sad because of it. The writing was very poor; no story line or development of plot so you could not believe or escape even for a moment. In short you could not care or believe any character or any of their emotions. Then the narrators were flat. Even with good voices they read flat and made you so aware they were reading just print on a page. I love duet narration and specifically look for this but this was a waste of that genre
Seriously want to help others save their money. Skip this one you will not miss a thing

Do not buy if you have seen or read 365 days

This book has a later date of release than 365 days by a different author. The structure of the story and details of certain characters and scenes are exactly alike. Insulting to reader and reeks of plagiarism. How can this happen? So very disappointed that audible would carry and sell both. Put it on a “we recommend based on your previous books”. Bewarei

Very repetitive story details that do not advance the plot or reveal any better understanding of characters or their motives. Leaves characters flat and book becomes boring quickly. Would not recommend
